Hey guys, i've asked Relic if we could get more vetoes in 1v1 and they said that it is not possible because the amount of vetoes are code attached to the amount of maps. So they told me that there is possibility that they could remove 1 map from the 1v1 map poll so we have a extra veto. I would like you guys to vote and know what map do you think guys would be better to be remove. If its possible tell why.

Can I please just mention at this point that CoH1 finished with only 5 1v1 maps in automatch after 7 years of tweaking. It was fine like that, get rid of more!

Both semoiskies are absolutely awful, Minsk Pocket is an abomination, Westwall and Lostglider whilst pretty, do not create fun games of CoH2.

I don't think I've ever had an actually fun game on Semoskiy Summer. The cheesiest, most annoying map there is. Garrison heavy + awful pathing + horrible chokepoints = cancer. Map did not translate at all from coh1. Unsalvageable without completely reworking the entire map. And there is still a second version of it....

My second vote goes to Lost Glider, for similar reasons.

Semoskiy, BOTH versions is the obvious choice though the summer version is a bit more awful than the winter one. There's too much garrisons overlooking important points and the chokepoints are small and dull. Next in line would be, in my very humble opinion, Westwall and Minsk pocket.

Hey all,

Just a quick heads up. We would have to look at our in-house data before making a decision on actually removing a map. Your votes will point us towards which data to investigate, but we can't guarantee removing one.

Why?

Most of the players here skew toward the top end of the multiplayer pool. We have to look at the data for everyone and confirm this map is unpopular across the board.

The maps in the poll are all pretty good and I would not like any of them removed. Of course some are better than others, but I think that automatch maps do not have enough variety as of now, which also somewhat breaks ballance discussions.

@mods, can I get an option to vote for "leave them alone"?

@OP There is no map that everybody vetoes, so removing one map won't give a free veto to everybody. If you really want more vetoes, the map pool should be increased rather than decresed. Problem is of course that it is hard to find automatch level community maps. Still, we should rather try to test them and eventually add the best of them to the poll, rather than removing already tested good maps from it.

Yeah, I know about these, but I'm pretty sure that author said he doesn't want to give them to devs for automatch use. Still, it would be great if we could add these instead of trying to remove existing ones.

LOL I chose Semoskiy Summer because at least the winter map you can cross the water choke points. But many of these maps are annoying in one way or the other.

But seriously why have a winter and summer version of maps at all. If there are two versions, I vote we ditch the summer version and get a new map to replace it.
