Does changes of the Soviet M17 apply to the USF also? If not they should.

It is unclear in the Patch notes. (maybe include in the notes if it applies?)

Yes, the nerf also applies to the USF M17

Does the nerf to sight radius regarding vet 2 scout cars with spotting scopes also affect the Wehr half track and puma? Seeing that they both also get +30% sight range with vet 2.

It does not,difference here is that the 222 has more Sight radius to begin with since it is a "scout car".

According to stat.coh2.hu the half track has indeed a shorter sight range compared to the scout car. (35 to 50) But the site states that the puma also has 50 sight range.

Is the site correct or are you?

There is no commander with Puma and spotting scopes...

PPSh has equal priority to SVT rifles, thus will not carry over to surviving members (i.e., PPSh will not behave like a slot weapon)




Why volks cant get the same treatment and be actually able to pick up dropped weapons?

I would just like to say that I appreciate all of the work that the community has put into this patch, and to Stormless/ A_E for hosting the King of the Hill weekly tournaments.

I'd also like to give a shoutout to the moderators for keeping this thread on topic!

and I'd also like to say that if Relic ends up not liking how this worked with the patching and ceases to update the game on a regular basis, it is my opinion that having an official coh2.org competitive mod would be a great way to keep the community alive, keep the game fresh, and keep people interested in coh2 for the next few years before coh3 comes out.

That's also an inconsistency. Pretty minor though, since ISG can already benefit from medHQ healing.

Why volks cant get the same treatment and be actually able to pick up dropped weapons?


Volks STG is superior to Kar98 at all ranges. Instilling that behaviour on Volks would make them unnecessarily inconsistent, and also make their upgrade suck. We have made the PPSh/Flamer upgrade occupy both weapon slots for Penals, thus they aren't able to pick up additional slot items.

The reason why we decided to make PPSh's not follow slot-item behaviour was because out of all options available, this one was the least bad. The ideal behaviour would have been having PPSh behave as a slot item, but cede priority to the flamethrower.

At some point we will nerf the potency of Vickers_K so that this issue won't matter. We'll also have to see what we have to do about heavy sappers, too.

This "tactic" is very easily counterable with a mortar/isg, thus we don't see this becoming a major issue. Sapper Bren guns are superior to Vickers_K.

But aren´t double vickers normal enginners with 5 men always better than grens or volks ?
