c'mon. we wont have coh2 if it wasnt for dirty capitalists. yea that 3 dollar blood dlc is disgusting but at least we werent fooled into buying it. 150 euros is steep for aaa but its not like most aaa are worth time alone anyway.

there are plenty of honest dirty capitalist developers out there making great games.

Tnx for support. But its like voice in desert anyways.. casual gamers is letting them fooled, like sheep before slaughter. Ah ffs it happenening in everywhere.

+ there aint much mins to change anyway - look up here, i never said I getting commie, but when i rased my voiced i was already labeled (ffs i have lived in Soviet Union in childhood, i know how fucked up that was), socialism is what we need to ahieve - affordable shit for everyone.

Everyone should just rember time when games was cheaper, but delivered FULL, like as an example vCoH ffs, and Rome Total war 1st , can just well name many others - just these are best examples to what we have now with CoH2 and Total war newest series.

I really want to actually hear you rant, because your accent will make it halariously funny.

Lets get back on topic - for me, F2P means the game will be filled with manchildren who would drophack/maphack and drop at the first sign of trouble, just to piss people off.

:D Might be, latvian accents are quit queer. Total agree on F2P - that would ruin the game, im all about price reduction.

With Relic offering Single Player and Multiplayer in separate installments, having the Multiplayer aspect of the game become Free has more Pro's than Cons. They could make yearly Single Player Content that is sold to the players via normal means while offering Multiplayer free to the masses sustained on Visual upgrades such as skins and so on.

I honestly feel atm CoH2 is just overpriced as it is and the number of players are dropping by the wayside. (...) declining community (...) slow decline.

Steamcharts dares to disagree. Also, it only gets better by the year. Look for the same periods over the years, for example, May '14, May '15 and May '16.

You F2P supporters don't really have any slightest idea how does it work right?

It doesn't nessesairly mean pay2win needs to be implemented, but mechanics dettering free players/slowing them down/putting them behind paying customers are complete MANDATORY for F2P to work.

Servers do not run on up votes on steam or out of charity, these services cost and they force certain % of playerbase to pay, no matter how light or tough, people are forced to open their wallets eventually.

With playerbas as CoH2 have now? F2P would kill it faster then you can tell "I'm a 4v4 axis hero who would love F2P, I don't care for russian and asian hacker infestation in that specific mode".

Anyone who has slightest clue on how F2P works KNOWS why its horrible path to go.

And believe me, I know F2P market more then any of you.

What if I told you that monetization model of f2p game is highly dependent on the genre of the game as well as population with population size being the actual key here as huge population allows you for light monetization and still revenues of millions per month?

Games with huuuuge populations, like dota or lol can easily aim monetization at things like skins and average revenue per player being around 50 cents/month will still net them millions of euro every month, while games like mmos with lower population have much more aggressive monetization and still don't achieve even similar results?

So, please tell me, are seriously THAT stupid to believe CoH2 will suddenly get 2 millions of users who will stick to the game and let it float off the skins alone or you're one of these self entitled a-holes who believe f2p games are charity work and games as small as niche RTS would not need aggressive monetization to even keep community manager around?

I WORK on that from the kitchen, I work with F2P games, I know how they are monetized and how they need to be monetized to be successful and believe me, dota2 is EXCEPTION not a rule.

Remember it still is and will always be sega that sells and maintains this game. Dota 2 path and sega are 2 things that TOTALLY don't go together.

Keep what you've paid for instead of giving it away or you will pay for it again.

here a beginners lesson in economy:
as relic, you have to compare the income you get when going F2P with the income you are generating now. So, please tell me, are seriously THAT stupid to believe CoH2 will suddenly get 2 millions of users buying it because it did not went F2P??

What if I told you that only a tiny % of playerbase of F2P games are actual payers?

Were you seriously thinking all of them pay? :snfPeter: For real? :sibHyena:

There is NO real benefit of coh2 going f2p with its current population.
There is no real benefit for coh1 going f2p with their population.

HELL, there was no benefit for CoHO to be and why its long dead(it was also probing experiment for coh2 future, which failed quickly).

There is also the retention problem, its much more likely that people would stick to the game they payed for then some random over the weekend f2p.

The ONLY F2P that make sense for CoH2 are the weekend sales.

i know that only a low percentage of players is actually paying (but that depends highly on the game itself, for example 20-30% pay for WoT).

people stick with a game that is good. the tutorial is very important for that (which COH2s isnt, that would need a change)

you didnt get my point. like at all  :snfPeter: For real?:sibHyena:

the point of going F2P is to increase the population number. The people who want to buy coh2 have pretty much bought it buy now --> no big point in weekend sales

but people would be much more inclined to try coh2 if it is f2p. not only might that increase the revenue from people buying DLCs, but it would also increase the playerbase, increase the matchmaking, increases the amount of people watching streams and tournaments, which further increases the playerbase.

so my point was:
they do not have much to lose. lets hope you understand it now.....:luvCarrot:
