I think fast luchs is fine, now allies have to build something to counter an early axis shock unit


if people think stuarts and t70 were fast, wait until they see a 4 minutes luchs

The reason OKW is such a awkward faction is they have access to the most powerful AT weapon in the game on the cheapest infantry... Dont RELIC realize this?? RELIC PLS!

I like the changes but they should introduced a new ability for OKW lets name it Wepon supply ( i know the name sucks) for 150 manpower and 20 fuel it would give Volks acces to panzerfaust and in incendiary granade. Panzershrecks should be moved to sturmpios.

but vet 3 allied infantry roll over everything...or so thats what the forums make me believe eleniggle


make 1 rifle/tommie for every volks he has, spend the same amount of amunition per squad (90) and watch which blob will win (and yes rifles are 45 manpower more expensive, so just assume its 4 rifles against 5 volks to even it out)

Did some testing with the preview mod.

I managed to get a luchs in 4 minutes and 30 seconds, I could have gotten it faster if I didn't upgrade thorough salvage.

My methodology:

2 kubelwagon start.

Cap with kubels and sturmpio until face resistance (5 strat poitns + fuel point usually)

Call in truck after second kubel

Immediately upgrade mechanized command with truck when it gets on map

Build volksgrenadier.

Build a mine or two in base, place kubels ontop of mine.

Grenade with volks.

Salvage both kubels.

Build luchs.

I also had a panzer iv by around 11 minutes, and if I actually wanted to I could cut that down to less than 10 minutes using the luchs to cap more territory.


EDIT:

Did a more efficient run. Managed to have the Luchs on the field a 4 minutes and 24 seconds.

Here's the replay for those of you with the patch preview downloaded.

To put this in perspective guys, this is about as fast as you can get a flame engineer in a scout car as Soviets.

So if they're removing the OKW fuel penalty, are they going to make the flak HQ any easier to kill? After all they won't need such a potent method to hold territory.

Can't say I like the brit changes, especially the sniper change. If an anti-vehicle sniper is rubbish against light vehicles what use is he? Nerfs all round and nary a buff to any of the weak or underused stuff. The valentine at 6cp will likely still be a joke.

The OKW teching is over the top.Needs to be addressed immediately.
With 300 mp shrecks should be moved to sturmpio.Give volks faust/or lategame modest AI upgrade instead.

Now that Kubel lost its suppression, does it get veterancy faster since it lands more hits, and if you manage to get the Königskubel (VET 5), does it still have its suppression bonus?

Playing a 2on2, and you can apply the very same tactic with a fuel cache building OST player to get a Luchs by minute 03:20.

All of these changes, small tweaks, radical game-changers and... we.. STILL don't get any love for the Penal Battalion. It's like Relic actively hates them :guyokay:
