Do you have any other programs running, or modifying the files while the editor is on? Now that you mention it could be Onedrive, since it is supposed to sync my mod folder between devices. Thread: DoW3 Tools Error - Anyone seen this before with COH2?25 Mar 2019, 15:26 PM Hi guys, I've been getting the error in the picture when I save my mod attributes in the Attribute Editor, probably 8/10 times. It causes the root to unload requiring me to close and reopen the tools from the mod builder. https://imgur.com/a/K20j2y7 I'm curious is anyone has ever encountered this sort of problem with the CoH2 tools and might know the cause and a solution. I'm not entirely sure when this error started occurring but it has started to cause problems where some abilities or weapons will randomly get removed from units I've previously modified and haven't touched in forever. There's a few edited abilities and weapons for some content that was never added to the attribute editor root I've done the basics like verifying the files, double checking file paths and there are no obvious errors in the Attribute Editor or Mod Builder indicating an issue. Other than when things randomly disappear the mod works just fine, but it is a bit of an annoyance and frustration I'd like to solve. Any help would be appreciated. In: Modding and Tools

Just another example of how the game has been and continues to be homogenized. Wehr sniper had significant advantages over the Soviet sniper, but he was weaker to being countersniped. Now both snipers are equally vulnerable to countersnipe but their capabilities are more similar, although unless they are carbon copies of each other then the Soviet one is just plain weaker now rather than having some advantages and some disadvantages. Implementing this change at the same time they also buff light vehicles versus snipers is pretty much going to kill sniper play for Soviets. Combined with the garrison and mortar nerfs this just pushes the game even further into generalist infantry spam into vehicle rushes. Ever since release everything that actually requires positioning and tactics gets nerfed and basic infantry get buffs lol. God forbid that Riflemen/Conscript/Grenadier/Volksgrenadier spam builds have weaknesses. imo this change belongs in the garbage bin along with ideas like "Soviet weapons teams should have 4 men not 6" and "USF should have a mortar because everyone else does" In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Loading Mods with launch options10 Apr 2018, 00:55 AM Hey guys, So I'm mainly interested in modding DoW3 but given the similarities between DoW3 and Coh2's modding tools I was curious if you guys had a way to load a mod on game launch to replace files outside of simple tuning mods that load on the start of a match. This is how things were done with DoW2 for example, likewise I could also get the game to load custom .sga files from a mod directory which could replace things like textures clientside. Are either of these possible in CoH2? As it is right now with DoW3 can't load anything with a new name, I can only point to existing abilities etc to do stuff. So the limit of how much "new" things I can do is based on whatever campaign files etc I can latch onto and overwrite for multiplayer. In: Modding and Tools

For upcoming patch I would say early Puma could prove as a must. Why do you say that? Both T3 and T4 are cheaper than ever. In: COH2 Balance
