So what was the logic of giving a heavy armor tank that is cheap to build more HP and damage reduction than any other tank in the game? I don't mind the armor or damage reduction or extra hp, but all those combined is too much for 1 tank unit. This really need balancing.

The intended role of the tank - damage sponge/break through tank with weak ass gun.
It has the same effective health as Panther.
Lower health and damage reduction are there to make repairing it faster.

Its all balanced if you actually understand what stats it has and why they are thee.

T-70 can pen King Tiger frontally too, you just need RNG, but still happens.
222 can also pen IS-2, just RNG.

And its not losing either of these things, because it needs them to fulfill its role.
I have already told you, it has 960 effective health, the exact same as panther.

Indeed it is a weak ass gun, if you taking Jagdtiger Pak43 as reference, or taking Katitoffism logic as reference.

KV-1 have gun from T-34/76.
But nerf it all and give Sovites finally non doc T-34/85. :thumb:

Your reply still doesn't talk anything about it's little bit too overpowered for it's cost for having great armor, extra hp and damage reduction. It's gun isn't the old patch gun anymore.

Needs to lose either the damage reduction (and get it back as HP) or the cooldown. Possible 10 extra fuel on top.

I think by damage reduction he means the vet 1 "hull down" which is really quite bonkers. Tight rope did a test once where the hull down KV1 actually won against a Panther in close/mid range. When I use it i just use it as meat shield for su85's.

We all know the intended role of the tank.
But just because stats fit the role doesn't automatically mean the unit was balanced

Nope the KV-1 has damage reduction by default. It should be removed since CE with minesweepers now have repair bonus and since it is available with conscripts repairs.
Conscripts are quite good at repairs.

This should be reverted, considering it also has very high armor, good AI dmg, decent main gun (can easily delete mediums as P4, Ostwind or Stug.)

Or at least limit it numbers at max 1, as every other heavy in the game (except churchills)

Repairs are less of an issue nowadays, so it can lose the damage reduction for real hitpoints. That should give the Axis a bit more time to breath during down time without compromising the vehicle's key role.
