And its a sufficient counterexample to one saying "it's no news that soviet armor in general is underperforming trash" Considering the fact that we moved away from this at all stages of the game by making core units strong enough to walk on their own legs, I don't think you have a point here about SU. In past sure due to crap balance, but not anymore. But yeah, I don't agree soviet armor underperforms in any way(if we ignore existence of IS-2 and KV-2). In: COH2 Balance

That's rather poor argument, considering that soviets did pretty much fine most of the time but most certainly not thanks to stock units. Regarding armor vet, I used to advocate for revamping KV series vet to match heavy tank role, however with rec dmg on KV-1 and on vet KV-8 that no longer is any concern(well, there is also MEME-2 but who cares for it anymore). T34s got pretty suitable vet. In: COH2 Balance

Few years ago there was huge butthurt about RE being too cheap and to easy to afford - covered with Captain were perfect to blob with 2x zook or 2x bar. Reminds me old CaptainPrice blobs on 2v2s. That cancer was epic. But people forgot about that great time and again they wanna reduce the reinforcing price... Until that unit can be equipted with 2 weapon upgrades they can't be any price reduction. If you wanna do something give them upgrades or diffrent abilities etc. And first year conscripts were great, but for 4 following years, up to latest changes were utter trash unable to be used at any role other then AT nade throwers and cappers. What's your point? If a unit is shit, it needs love, it couldn't matter less how it was X time ago, when now its utter trash. In: COH2 Balance

Doesn't work that way bud, AEC doesn't have any more RoF, can't bounce and have lower range while having same damage and health. AEC also is used to harass infantry, while Puma not really, so puma will always be reactive use, allowing for first shot, unless you like to rush in blindly into FoW. In: COH2 Balance

And if your enemy went for T2 then just build Bofors (if you don't have AEC yet). As OKW its hard to counter them when you go T2. Probably died to superior range puma. In: COH2 Balance

They already have unique abilities like tank traps and free nades from fighting positions. Plus RE and sappers are the only 200ish mp units able to double equip and still carry sweepers while EFA can't even get a sweeper after getting a single flamer. Fucking great, aren't they. Don't know how someone can still ask for more. Damn, if we all were like certain legless reptilian and be completely unaware of how the unit behaves outside of statistics and abilities on paper, RETs would actually look like a good unit. However we are not. Do you even remember how fighting position looks like? Most certainly not, much less how RETs rifle nades work from it due to how "popular" it is, especially now that USF got mortar its nothing more then a weak gimmick of the past era. The unit is: -not needed to build a base -not needed to put mines down -not needed to repair vehicles(obvious reason) Also, it doesn't matter how well unit can scale, if base unit with base abilities can't perform, then changes are needed. Suppressive volley was broken op and was hammered to broken up with nothing in between ever. Currently its still broken up and if you need to invest 120muni just to have a basic ability actually work , that screams underpowered, not matter how you try to put it. In: COH2 Balance
