You've just made a unit limited to 1 a complete waste of space and encouraged everyone to get TDs in pairs while pretty much nothing happened for meds as their primary threats are ATGs and AT infs. More offensive maxim puts cons on the bench again, because cons just don't cut it without doctrinal weapons, while grens are the one singular unit in the whole game that HMGs, including maxim, are supposed to hardcounter. You want Maxim to be LMG with setup and arc, its not going to work as evidenced by the state of maxim pre setup and arc adjustment patch and grens aren't supposed in any capacity to stand up to it frontally under any circumstances other then green cover they were at first. Obviously the Guards can have DPs added, but they'll still have their AT rifles. Still, CP2 is better than CP3, and I'd be happy to have that, at least. Would coincide with the M2HB drop. I do think CP1 is better thematically, however, and I doubt the impact of Paratroopers at that stage would be as large as Shocks or Guards, at least without being upgraded. Now, compare cons and maxims to .30 cal HMG and rifles, see who actually needs stronger support. In: COH2 Balance
