Well, you're up for a huge disappointment then.
Look at 120mm mortar for reference when it comes to reverting huge nerfs on expensive units. |
It's not that, it's that Soviets are fundamentally flawed and still need to be fixed somehow. I don't know how, but they need it. M3 spam is not fun, Sniper spam is not fun, Maxim spam is not fucking fun. Not to play with or against, it's bullshit.
Well, you can always play without the spam and use proper combined arms.
I don't like ISU, so I don't build them.
I don't like M3 spam, so I usually won't get more then one.
I know how strong snipers are, but I prefer penals.
Soviets are fundamentally flawed, but that isn't going anywhere.n That flaw is their design and I highly doubt that T1 will get any AI nerf as long as it doesn't have any AT form and we all know it won't get AT.
I've even got one PQ quote to confirm that:
[...]the Soviets were designed to lack flexibility both in their unit functionality and tech progression. To make up for this, they are given units which are very effective at one specific role (Sniper, Shocks, SU-85, etc.). This applies to their tech as well, the general idea was to see the player build one T1/T2 building followed by one T3/T4 building. In team games, this can be a bit more flexible as you have other players to provide you some buffer.[...]

Are you serious? Closed beta (or even alpha) info of vanilla COH 2 is still under NDA? The game was released almost year ago. It's f*cking impressing.
That would be a balance and that is under NDA.
Reactions of certain people upon seeing the notes will be completely hilarious, so there is not much of a point in releasing them before the patch goes live. |
@LeYawn
And did I said it does?
I'm just correcting info that he got wrong by a huge margin.
@OMGPOP
Faction of angry fanboys chanting "german up, gief buffs" will sturm your home and rip you apart for that post. |
M3 costs 10 fuel.
Mines cost 30.
Panzerfaust deals 100 damage, M3 got 200hp.
AT nade deals 100 damage, 222 got 200hp.
222 is the one who can reliably wipe squads on retrat, M3 needs flame CEs to do it.
I really do admire you for being top 10 without even knowing the stats or costs of units and abilities |
Why do people always think somebody wants the old unit back, exactly as it was?
Probably because that hypothetical somebody pretty much says that either in the OP or one of the following posts.
There is still a bunch of people who miss their 4 minute german KV-8. |
Question about these commanders. While there's no way i could buy them all. Although, I will possibly buy a few. Which ones would you recommend for a noob that has yet to play the game?
As it was already pointed out, play the game first.
In essence, you don't need any of the commanders to be competitive and some of THE best top-of-all-time commanders are free, especially for soviets.
Germans aren't that much doctrine dependent, but spearhead, lightning war or elite troops are worth considering. |
Erm... you know why I linked that match, right? It was a pretty close until the T-70 spots every flank that Barton tired to make (its not like Barton is a scrub who fed the T-70). Then the ISU rolls into town sniping everything which was made extra easy by the T-70. Part of the problem is that the T-70 recon mode is NON-doctrinal, if you investing into an Commander that that focuses on heavy fire power they tend to lack mobile scouting units and the T70 makes up for that in spades.
The Germans have no NON-doctrinal equivalent AND even though people are saying "Herp, spotting scope" they are different things as spotting scopes ONLY work when the unit is not moving (in other words chasing a T-70 wont impact its LoS like anything with spotting scopes) and the two Commanders that have Spotting Scopes (Jaeger Armour and German Mechanized) dont have any strong Anti-Infantry options like the ISU152, KV8 or the IS2. I also said that it should be TONED down, in other words slightly reduced and not removed as I like the fact that there is now a true soviet recon unit...
As for "Its been in the games for months", well yeah and I believe that the player base will be creative enough to find a way on how to use it for a distinctive advantage. After all nobody ever moaned about Pios until someone found the perfect mix of spamming them, getting vet 2 armour and call in Storms until around 1.7 CoH1. "A squad armed in a Bren Gun in a Bren Carrier? Don't see the harm in that" they said back in OF. I never really noticed this until it pretty much shut down everything Barton was doing and Twister was smart enough to be patrolling with it so so he could see if Barton was a planning a flank...
Dude... for real...
There is a shit ton of stuff germans have that requires doctrines for soviets and its still inferior.
WHY when soviets get nice things its ALWAYS bad design, but when germans get nice things its ALWAYS asymmetrical balance.
You're really being silly with this thread. |
Never ever use AP rounds on DSHK.
The only armored targets they were good against were
-1.5 armor infantry
-caches
Everything else could effortlessly back away.
Meanwhile, MG42 incendiary rounds will shred anything below T-70 in one-two bursts(talking light armor here you angry fanboys). |

Remove IL2, and then yes, you can remove Stuka. So I can use the Pak43 to counter ISU safely.
Not like that IL is good for anything then immobilized elephant anyway. And ISU concrete piercing round would have a word with your PaK43. |
