Thread: Ostheer Sniper (1v1), Large Post21 May 2014, 02:43 AM Agreed about the reinforcement costs. The Soviet Sniper isn't cheap, but 90 isn't enough to keep people from being reckless with them. Seems like people just throw them out there sometimes because they can afford to lose a man, they still keep the squad. On the contrary, German sniper usage almost always has him sneaking around cover and hiding from danger. In: COH2 Balance

T1 and T2 are still very similar, but T3 and T4 have very little in common. T1: Penals (Riflemen) Scout Car (Jeep) Sniper (Transferred from US T2 obviously to make T1 more appealing) T2: MG Team Mortar Team AT Gun (Transferred from US T3 to replace Sniper) T3: Half-Track T-70 (M8) -similarities end here- It's a shame the M-42 Anti-Tank Gun couldn't be used as a stop-gap in T1, but they already added it to Commanders and anything in a Commander is set-in-stone. The Eastern Front was essentially 2 authoritarian empires going at it, but one of them was friends with the "good guys". Nevertheless the politics and leadership of either side were awful, and I don't give a fuck. I want a movie about the soldiers and the battles they partook in, without the ideological propaganda you find in most Russian movies. In: Lobby

Imo the second one would be cheaper, similar to the T-34/76, since the Ausf. J was made to simplify and cheapen the manufacturing process, which meant less viewports, simplified exhaust, no turret motor, metal top rollers, and 2 less of them (3 on each side). The Ausf. H would probably cost 10-20 more than the standard Panzer IV, since you're paying extra for the increased protection and the crew penalties aren't cripplingly bad. Assuming Relic would refuse to give them a medium tank in the name of being ~unique~, these would be great for OKW Commander call-ins. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Idea for new DLC armor units20 May 2014, 18:53 PM T-34/57: mounting a ZiS-2 derived weapon instead of the standard 76mm F-34, better at penetrating Tanks but worse at harming Infantry. With veterancy the vehicle should have little trouble taking on a stock Panzer IV, and be able to match a veteran Panzer IV. Panzer IV Ausf. H: Starting off with Vet 2 armour / gun stats (and appearance), at the cost of longer reload and less accuracy due to the declining quality of German crews later in the war. As the crew gains veterancy, the negative qualities disappear. Panzer IV Ausf. J: Similar to the current Vet 0 Panzer IV, but with a slower turret, longer aim time, and severely reduced accuracy while moving. As the crew gains veterancy, Armour is improved (with skirts, like the current IV and the H) as well as aim time, accuracy, and turret speed. In: COH2 Balance
