It's because of the explosive changes they did. Like most weapons, explosives have an accuracy and penetration stat, which meant even troops in the AoE had a chance to survive if the explosion missed. With the changes (all ninjas btw), they reduced the AoE of many explosive weapons and increased the accuracy to 100% so that any unit within an AoE will always take damage.
I assume they were trying to make weapons more consistent, but the problem with Mines is they do flat damage over their entire AoE. So basically when a Mine is triggered, it does 200 damage to every model within its AoE, with none of them having a chance to 'cheat death'.
The solution would probably be to introduce a normal AoE with damage fall-off for all mines. But I don't know how that would effect Tanks, which are probably the reason it has flat AoE to begin with... |
I like them how they are, but if a 5th man is necessary, why not make it like Rear Echelons and have them gain a 5th at Vet 2 or 3? Lower the increased accuracy bonus a bit to compensate for the sudden increase in DPS from the extra man. |
no played a few games and flak ht is again useless vs buildings and trenches and the p2 cant duel t70 anymore ( lacks pen )
The Panzer II was never superior to the T-70 in a duel, the T-70 and M3 Stuart always had the upper hand vs the Panzer II. |
Thankfully every faction now has either nondoctrinal or also doctrinal methods of breaking up a static Or creeping wall of infantry and support weapons, my favorite being the Katyusha!
Too bad the doctrinal methods rely on you stockpiling munitions, which make them more opportunity weapons than counters. |
Bad accuracy when moving correct? I believe they add that to all flaming vehicles, is that true? They were trying to stop people from wiping re treating squads with such ease. I can't remember if they gave a buff against flame damage on retreat or just made moving flame worse
Yes, the moving accuracy is terrible on all flame weapons. |
I think making ambulance a jeep that comes with medics would be perfect. Mr Someguy said this a few days ago and it remains the coolest idea ever.
Not to shoot you down, but I meant the ambulance model should have just been a jeep, because it's more fitting for medics in the field to be sitting there in a jeep than to bring an entire ambulance that they won't use. It'd still have the same function |
Maybe allow them to to have access to a Thompson upgrade which turns them into a close quarter engineer unit?
Assault Engineers are your close quarter engineer unit. |
Vickers if you are hunting Snipers. Bren and Vickers have modifiers against Snipers that make them better at chasing them. The Wasp is actually worse against Snipers because flames have bad movement accuracy. |
Yeah they've been doing that with the BAR since the Alpha. |
Panzer 4s are on-par with shermans not t-34/76s
the T34/76 is awful at the moment and its only purpuse is to ram an enemy tank at key moment
That's the point, Panzer IV's are Ostheer's optional end-game. They can go for Panthers but it's not generally required, and by that point it's a bonus. |
