Im just going to stop playing the game in general lol. COH3 1v1 is not as fun as COH2 team games. COH3 team games are worse than COH3 1v1s. Ill pass on the game.
You mean you're going to stop playing CoH 2 as well?
The community will never truly find out what the “community council” had input on. But I would love to know. 1. The list of people that were on it. 2. The amount of influence and their suggestions. Especially since people that have no idea about gameplay or unit match ups were on it - AE was on it.
Will never understand the need to “get back to COH1”
Lower TTK
Removing TD roles essentially
Huge variations in model health
Cover rework against grenades
MG suppression mechanic completely changed
Snares completely changed
Crush being removed
Factions missing essential elements again
USF with no non doc indirect besides a mortar
Brits without a TD
The buff to retreating
All of these things just make gameplay not fun. They aren’t even balance concerns. Just the gameplay itself is boring, anticlimactic. Most of my complaints probably dont matter to new people or people who barely played COH2 or COH1.
But I do not understand people who actively played COH1,COH2 and think COH3 is anything close to its predecessors.
Look at the “community” its gone lol. The known streamers are gone. The playerbase is still declining.
I can not express to anyone in words. How sad this is. That this franchise is where it is now. I gave COH3 a chance. I played a decent amount of games for all factions. None of those games came close to some of the average, not even good games of COH2 I have had.
Being realistic. COH3 will probably not recover. There are way too many good games releasing this winter. For a massive influx of people to comeback. On top of the update cadence that has been shown by Relic. Like people said. After 10 months. There will only be 2 new 4v4 maps. Not even talking about missing elements just maps.
I think its okay to say. I wish COH3 never released. At least then the franchise would be remembered for being good while it lasted. Not an utter clusterfuck. That it is now.
I agree with a lot of what you are saying.
However, I have 4K hours in CoH 2, and you probably have double that. The experience has been had/enjoyed. Why stay in CoH 2, CoH 3 has good things about it.

I never really liked community decision decisions. The community are absolutely terrible game designers that only know how to tweak things based on their experienced losing to overpowered strategies. That's all, and that's where it ends.
They have no ability to figure out what makes a game fun, how to create a vision for the game, and organize everything around that vision. They can make little quality of life adjustments and stuff like that, but never a fun game.
I hope Relic did not take the community opinions to seriously. The "community" did not make CoH 1, it was Relic that did. Neither CoH 2.
Was removing crush intentional? Who made that decision!? That's a classic mechanic. What??? I thought crush was removed due to some technical limitations that affect pathing or something.
Look man. Hate to be the bearer of bad news. But “rocket” arty is a thing of the past man. Yes the whizzbang does have the same range as a flak 88? So what? Smoke and flank am I right? Yes the whizzbang doesn’t really wipe any units or punish blobs. But look man, TTK is higher for a reason in this game. It promotes tactical, engaging gameplay. Let me explain. You see a lot of blobbing / you think……..hmmmmm whizzbang should punish this / you wait all game to get the whizzbang / you bait the blob and barrage it / it does nothing and you eventually lose. Key takeaways from that. It wouldn’t be fair to the opponent if you punished him for using tactical columns (aka blobs). He should have an opportunity to react to the “rocket arty” or not react and still not lose any squads. Its like COH1 man, cmon everyone loves that game. Its like when the brits got released for it and that gameplay is now the gameplay for everything. On a more serious note. I would recommend not playing allies for the foreseeable future unless you enjoy losing to people you would normally beat in a balanced game. GLHF!!
People can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not when you are ranting either on stream or in forums, unless they know you for a while.
This is a little embarassing tbh. I think the 2D icon artist could've made new icons within 1 or max 2 days. And the programmers just need to assign the appropriate icons which is another couple days.
Katukov if you wanna know how a garbage launch and pay2win trash for years looks like, you should have been here in 2013-16 for CoH2, but I know for a matter of fact you're some random who picked up the game for free in 2018.
CoH3's launch is infinitely better in every single regard.
But yeah, feel free to stick with dead CoH2 bro, 3v3 is somehow gonna be even more dead than before now so maybe you achieve something like 3 digit ranks now
Personally, I'm thinking 3-6 months depending on how many issues there are at launch. I also want to see the meta stabilize a bit first.
I think that is a poor decision.
I think the most interesting part of a multiplayer game is when the meta has not been defined and players are exploring different options. This keeps games fresh and full of surprises. On the other hand, strong meta games such as CoH 2 in 2023 guarantees repeat strategies (such as Pathfinder meta for USF)
Early versions of the game are truer to the game developer's original vision and is less "tainted" by community forum complaints that result in mirroring of gameplay mechanics in the name of balance as we saw in CoH 2. The most enjoyable experiences in CoH 2 was immediately after releases (such as WFA). There we saw exciting elements of the game such as OKW 33% fuel handicap, USF's flamer riflemen and powerful Easy 8s and M1919s, m20 scout car with the bazooka, refuel & refit mechanized company, non-doctrinal Panther and Panzer for OKW, locked trenches for UKF. Unlike most other games such as BF2042, CoD, Starcraft where you do not see significant changes to the design of the game besides bug fixes, Company of Heroes 3 most likely will be a different game within 6 months.
You will have a progressively more difficult time joining in multiplayer as the game advances as the community accumulates experience and hours in the game. An example is how new players today struggle in CoH 2 due to facing a veteran community of anywhere between 500 - 5000 hours in the game since 2012
Considering Relic Entertainment is unlike other developers, in that they have a track record of listening to community members throughout CoH 2 and CoH 3, there is a benefit in you joining in early as you may have influence in the decisions of Relic.
If you have played the playtest and have enjoyed the game, I see no reason to delay it for further inspection. It is understandable if you had qualms with the game, though.
If you care about making a name for yourself in the competitive or content creator community, it is a good idea to start early
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I think Sega/Relic executive leadership has falling into the trap of complacency. ESG investments is highly dangerous and corrupt. As a loyal fan that is justice-for-all I strongly advise Sega to reconsider their corporate policy. ESG investments is a house of cards just waiting to collapse.
Not if, but when and how.
Arch Warhammer did a decent job exposing DoW3 failures and unethical gaming journalism.
Briefly talked about ESG investments in Relic/Sega marketing (social credit system for woke corporations) and the future of Relic here;
Quote from Arch Warhammer;
If Sega support woke capitalism/ESG investments it'll be a disaster with long term consequences for both Relic and Sega. And yes, this includes legal consequences as equal justice under the law.
Please be informed that western judicial branch has plenty of laws to restore justice it just needs to be enforced equally. Justice are not only for the rich and powerful.
So choose your allies carefully as your corporate future depends on this.
In future class action lawsuits I fully expect big corporations will face bankruptcy due to unprecedented corruption, fraud and fake money making schemes.
Western billionaires that try to evade justice + taxes are trying to hide their fraudulently wealth in 'charity'/foundations. For proof of this Norman Dodd Special Committee to Investigate Tax-exempt Foundations exposed this decades ago.
With the propaganda machine trying to guilt trip disempowered western males while ignoring Tax-exempt Foundations subversive and criminal activities is very evil and wicked.
Also need to know. As video below highlight there is two ways a publicly traded company can make money.
Joe Rogon Interview Adam Curry. ESG's Are the Reason for Woke Corporate Interests.
EXPLAINED: ESG scores are why EVERY corporation is going WOKE
At best, ESG is another corporate fraud/fake money making scheme. At worst, ESG is evil pro-WEF social engineering that intend to turn the west into a George Orwell animal farm.
IMHO, this wasteful spending and/or propaganda is the nr.1 threat to CoH3s longevity as it's only a matter of time before this house of card collapse. Not if, when and how.
Please be warned that when I say propaganda this is not just me. Speaking for my own country we have current and former university professors calling this out as a dangerous propaganda machine.
Everyone on this planet has spiritual protection at their disposal, the real question is who is protecting who?
As team humanity wins the spiritual war, all remaining black hats lose their spiritual protection.
The reckoning & downfall for evil and wicked western billionaires club:
TLDR version;
If Relic/Sega executive leadership blindly support wasteful spending and/or woke capitalism this will not have a happy ending. As a "woke corporation" and executive leadership that also make your corporation subject to future class action lawsuits as breach of fiduciary duty. Im confident that people losing their pension funds and life savings to this ESG money making scam/stock market crash won't be happy.
