Raid Section feedback:
- Seems to be not worth being a separate unit, as it appears to have an identity crisis at the moment
- So balance team wants a Brit Riflemen, but with Camo? Like what does that help?
- Commandos already fill the ambush niche very nicely, so adding ANOTHER AMBUSH unit feels bad.
- CQC? Assault Sections, Commandos and Airlanding Officer already fill that role
- That only leaves with light infantry type unit which is not available yet.
For Raid Sections, I would like to throw the idea to have them be JLI/Pathfinder niche.
Call in at CP1. They have Scoped Enfields (same stats as M1 Garands) and 1 crit weapon. Lock out all other upgrades. Vet 3, they gain an extra man or the new Vickers LMG. They do not have cover bonus, increased decap/cap speed, STATIONARY CLOAK, and ability to snipe a model for a price.
Helps them counter sniper starts without commiting another sniper. But worse performance in 1v1 duels while able to support IS.
I would have to agree here. The idea of the Raid Section is good but the execution at its current state is hot garbage. First it needs to be 0 CP. Second give it Scoped Enfields (which used to be available to Infantry Sections) and make the equal to the Pathfinder or JLI and you have a good unit here. |
The Valentine is a different unit within a different faction. Not everything needs to be exactly the same. If it was then we would be playing a Mirror Match with Faction skins painted over the units.
The T-70 is in a different faction, does a much better job of killing infantry, comes out earlier and has more of an impact on the game than a Valentine ever will.
Second the Valentine Vet is not even that good to be complaining about.
Vet 1 : +7 sight range.
Vet 2: +35% turret rotation speed.
+20% maximum speed.
+20% rotation speed.
+20% ac/de-celeration.
Vet 3: +25% additional healthpoints.
-10% received accuracy.
Really makes no sense to complain about a unit having an "inconsistency" for gaining very non impactful vet. By that same logic the Command Tiger can destroy most vehicles and because it is considered a Command Vehicle then the Valentine and the Panzer IV Command Tank should be equally as strong because they have the word Command in it.
Now if you had made the argument that other command vehicles such as the Panzer IV command tank should have shared vet then that would be a fair argument worthy of its own thread and discussion and I would most likely agree with you but calling for nerfs on almost every single allied unit or ability simply for the sake of nerfs on the most nonsense things makes no sense whatsoever.

The Valentine is fine as is. Out of all of the things to complain about you choose the Valentine? Really? It dies in like 2-3 hits and is so rare I haven't seen one since the last nerf they did on it. |
A total rework of the commander might be in order. Okay I get it; adding a Sniper G43 was too much.
It was happily one of my core commanders I used, and for good reason.
How about this?
2 - CP
Breakthrough Equipment
2 - CP
Stormtroopers
2 - CP
Veteran Squad Leaders (45 munitions)
4 man grens are now upgraded to a 5th man with a standard Kar 98. Veteran Squad Leaders inspire their man to move faster as well as be able to concentrate their fire more accurately.
-VSL Grens now get Sprint
-VSL Grens now get 'Target Them!'
-VSL Grens now get Smoke Grenade
Panzergrens no longer are affected due to already getting smoke grenades from Breakthrough Equipment.
6 CP - Assault And Hold
10 CP - Frag Bomb
I would gladly take Kar 98 instead of the current implementation of VSL which is pretty shit. If I wanted a Volksgrenadier clone I would play OKW or go with Assualt Grenadiers. |
Comet is not even that good, especially after the most recent nerfs it has been hit with. Prior to the nerfs it was a viable alternative to the Churchill. Really no point in using it now when the Churchill and the faster repair speed are far more useful.
Also the British don't really need the Comet to be a Generalist tank. They have plenty of Anti-Infantry Options. They need the Comet to be strictly anti-tank as a replacement/alternative to the Firefly because the Firefly is lackluster vs Su-85 and Jackson.

This patch nerfed too much and basically killed off Brit, and still someone say they are overpowered, WTF?
Agreed British are nerfed into the ground. They really need to move the Mortar Pit to its own upgrade or commander and give them a proper mortar. On paper it seems good but needing to sit there and repair which takes forever and has a chance to one shot your Sappers compared to sitting behind a half track/ambulance or any other form of field reinforcement is light years ahead in usefulness and durability. |
TBH i think for a future installment of the franchise, a right click on reinforce button to autocast it would be fine.
Dawn of War 2 had this |
In regards to punishing blobs and MGs specifically, i think it has been overlooked for quite a long time that MGs don't get RA with vet. As well as the fact that light cover created by small explosives exist and that provides so much RA and suppression protection almost passively.
With or without RA, MGs get insta gibbed later on in a match which makes Veterancy and building them rather pointless. ALL MGs should get some form of damage reduction either through vet or tech or made more mobile (instant retreat like normal infantry) even if it means nerfing the suppression across the board because if a Blob charged an MG head on, The MG will die and can't even retreat. Either way they need some form of help so they can last later on and not be a liability since you end up giving the enemy a free MG as well due to being unable to retreat. |
I haven't had any issues with the game that I didn't have before the patch and if anything the 64 bit update helped alot as the game is much more stable than before. In the past month I haven't had the game crash or drop once and I play at least 2 games daily.
The only issue I had was bugsplats when changing commanders but deleting all of my commander loadouts seems to have fixed the issue. |
I would like to see Coldtech brought back but revamped differently.
Rather than just snow I would like to see it have a true weather system with things like rain creating mud, Sandstorms along with the snow. Also the one thing I didn't like about Cold Tech was that they split the maps into Summer/Winter Versions. It should have been one map and the weather would have been more random. Maybe some games you get snow, other rain or whatever.
