Thread: Should the T-34/85 be available without a doctrine?17 Apr 2014, 12:03 PM Hello, just thought I might start a poll about this. I´m interested to hear your opinions. I think its a bit unfortunate that the Soviets lack a generalist tank. Even more disturbing is that the solution to this problem lies directly in front of us. Further a tank so iconic and produced in such big numbers shouldn´t be "locked" in a doctrine. I think it would be best if it was available in a building after researching an upgrade - like the Coh1 76mm Sherman. I hope I included all possible options to this poll. Thanks for your answers. Thread: Next patch predictions16 Apr 2014, 20:25 PM The Panther is the German end of tech tree anti tank unit. It is the most expensive non doctrinal unit in the game. It either needs speed or the range of the Su-85. As it stands a slower Panther wouldn´t be able to handle Su-85 that has more range while being able to spot for itself. If you give one faction a non doctrinal high range tank destroyer, the other faction gets something with speed. It´s basic asymmetrical balance. In: COH2 Gameplay

And I actually read books about WW2. What being American has to do with this is beyond me. Probably you are implying some bad stereotype. I´m from Europe btw. and take your stupid comment as a compliment to my English skills though (not a native English-speaker). Also it´s funny that you claim I´m living out officer fantasies while you are clearly the one imitating some Russian propagandist. Btw. It´s Wehrmacht not "Whermacht". The opinion of a guy calling himself the Red bear/Soviet bear with the national symbol of Russia (a bear) wearing a Russian cap on a picture resembling an old Soviet propaganda poster is definitely totally unbiased and more trustworthy. Anyhow, it would be cool to have a SU-100 and ISU-122 in the game. But then again, I won´t have them as I don´t buy extra commanders. In: COH2 Balance

Meanwhile the western allies achieved the same by loosing much less men. All this disrespect for the individual that the Soviets had - it might won them the war, but I really don´t think treating your men like ants is cool. In: COH2 Balance

Well, that´s highly subjective then as I find every T-34 version ugly as shit. The turret belongs into the middle of a vehicle, goddammit! ^^ Anyhow, all games with asymmetrical faction design focus on higher numbers on one faction and the higher quality units on the other one. I´ve always been a player who preferred the latter. I just don´t like the "throw away your stuff" mentality Soviets pursued. In: COH2 Balance

I dare you to snipe it. Come closer. That. I haven´t built a German sniper in this patch after I lost the first one to a Maxim. There´s almost no range advantage the Sniper has over the Maxim. With that short sight range you have to immediately stop him to not run into the arc of fire. Way too risky when you have to pay attention elsewhere. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: What the .... is up with the germans ?10 Apr 2014, 12:00 PM So Soviets were overpowered for half a year - since the big MG42 nerf - and nobody of the guys complaining now cared when oorahing straight into MG42s and throwing a Molotov was the standard. Suddenly Germans have strong infantry and it´s blasphemy. Some smaller adjustments could be made, but I think this version isn´t worse than any other before. I still shudder at the thought of early Shock troopers countering everything at the 3 minute mark. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: The problem with tank gameplay 9 Apr 2014, 18:13 PM The multiplayer is set in summer 1944. The Panzer IV was the workhorse of the German tank arm at that time. What was left of the Panzer III was converted to StuGs or infantry support or sent to driving schools. I don´t know what the concept of Panzer III vs T-34 would change. It would be the same situation we have now between the P4 and T-34, just with reversed roles. In: COH2 Gameplay
