However there are 2 bugs I found so far. 1) the captain doesn't have a zook upgrade 2) the okw faust will always damage the engine regardless of the health of the tank (goes against the new mechanic that was introduced to promote medium tank usage) In: COH2 Gameplay

This is rather misleading and false. UKF had a negative win-loss-ratio even before the February patch. USF dropped below 50% after the patch. The only faction to perform over 50% win-loss-ratio for most of the tournament was soviets, which was mainly attributed to how maxims performed (fixed now). Add to that the fact that USF and UKF were the two least played factions, because people go with the faction they think is strongest. In: Lobby
Thread: Updates on BALANCE PREVIEW MOD 22 Apr 2016, 09:23 AM There are only 1 or 2 things I'm not sure about but overall this preview patch seems really nice on paper. We'll obviously have to test how it plays. The only thing I'd like to have added is the removal of forward retreat points (usf major, okw t2, ukf assembly). In 1v1 they don't have a big impact but in 2v2 and up they lead to frustrating gameplay. In: Lobby

If they were limited to one AI upgrade, it probably wouldn't be a problem. But once late game rolls around you see multiple Vet 3 Dual BAR squads roaming around (yes, even in a close game) wrecking everything. Close to mid range is pretty much the only range they are stronger than an lmg42. 2 bars do less damage at max range than a lmg42 (range of 25 to 35). And a single dps causing gun is also arguably better than 2 doing the same damage since it focusses down 1 entity instead of potentially 2. I think the issue with rifles is dual 1919s. 1919s should require 2 slots to prevent this. Snipers don't fire fast enough (6 man squads), mortars won't get a wipe since they're too spread out (6 man squad), MGs need a lot of micro/support (smoke), and even vet 3 grens w/ LMGs don't trade well (even at range), despite having a higher base AND reinforce cost while also being having 2 less models. Rifles are 5 men squads. The ost sniper does overperform versus any squad smaller than 6. Their reinforce is 28 which isn't low and was the reason for the changes in veterancy bonuses. In: Lobby

We do not know how it will be implemented in the balance mod from relic. And even mirage did add a type of snare by adding a stun effect if I recall correctly So until we can play the balance mod from relic, I'll go with the assumption that the panzerfaust ability is a copy of the ost ability. And while they can push off the mg just the same, the maxim is beefier in raw hit points. I dunno if it's actually much more survivable because when they drop the gun they have to pick it back up again though. The German sniper is balanced against 6 man squads. It kills a 6 man squad about 2 seconds faster than a soviet sniper kills a 4 man squad, which coincidently is also the reason why the ost sniper overperforms against any faction other than soviets and the soviet sniper underperforms against OKW. Having 6 men doesn't help in any way against the ost sniper other than that you'll hear 5 shots before you lose your mg instead of 3. But those shots will be a lot closer to each other In: COH2 Gameplay

Schultz AT nades should be available after purchasing the lieutenant to make it more desirable, but that's just what I think. Currently, I have no problem with the captain giving AT nades, but I feel like it would work better with lieutenant. The captain neither has nor gives nor unlocks at nades. At snares are unlocked for rifles by reaching veterancy level 1. In: COH2 Balance
