Honestly, giving away Maxims seems like a proper powerplay. At least there's a chance they'll use them instead of MG42/34s
Remove all units, give only Cons to all faction, perfectly balanced Con spam meta 24/7 all game modes.
Honestly, lets just swap Calliope and Pack Howi, Pack becomes doctrinal, Calliope replaces Pack in Captain tier, no more auto fire wipes or w/e, everyone is happy.
I mean, the ability might as have been removed, or replaced with something else rather that soft-removing it and pretending it exists and does anything.
It is definitely better than MG34.
I never ignored the fact that Maxim is the worst MG in game.
Do not change my words. It is simply not cool.
The only reason Vickers and Maxim deal more damage is because they are WORSE at their job than MG42/34, that being suppressing infantry, simple as that.
Some maps like lanzerth ambush and red ball and hill.
Allies start with infantry blob, then Usf can do calliope, rifles and pak/scott and jackson, the other do sherman blob and caliope. Sov mass guards with ptrs, and su85 and katsuya, Brit just do ther mg and mortar lockdown and call in 2 howies, before FF come to support. All using stock/mostly stock units.
As Wehr, i having trouble countering the pak/scott/kats/calliope taking out our position. And their sherman blobs comes in clearing up. Every time we try to use our Panthers, Tigers and Stug to chase after their shermans and scott, but inaccuracy on the move, TD behind and danger of snares, it was hopeless. Our infantry cannot handle guard and rifles blob, mg is useless in late game, even bunkers go down easily.
I feel the situation is unplayable. If panther blob is bad, please look at Allies range and speed, and how their med tanks can survive easily with such strat, or they can rebuild faster.
So, allies use heavy artillery to counter your mg/bunker spam, use medium/ai tanks to support infantry and cover their units from your tanks using tank destroyers? sound like combined arms to me
In other words, allies are coordinated, and between 3 factions use 13 differenct units and you complain you cannot Panther spam them to death? or lock down half the map by spamming bunkers XDDDD?
Also "allies start with blobs, then usf can do calliope", so I guess nothing happens inbetween?
Question is: where are your mortars, Leigs, 251 Stukas, JP4s, Pak 40, Brummbars, Shreck blobs, Ostwinds, flame 251, LEFHs, Elefants, JTs and Pak43s? mines? panzerwerfers? Raks?
Maybe we shoud just replace Pack howi with Calliope and be done with it.
Maxim, obviously needs to be made into a machinegun in the first place, considering that right now it's a joke
MG34 is good, maybe it needs to have lower vet requirements to compensate for its lower DPS.
M2HB needs to have its "soft stats" fixed (like slow turn speed etc.) to make it more responsive and consistent, admittedly there are quite a lot of units like that so it's probably a case of a much "wider" problem.
Maybe something that the next patch could be focused on.
Vickers could suppres slithly better, or just be made cheaper
MG42 is a troll vote.
I’m the OKW player
Oh, that makes it awkward, i kinda assumed you were ost with all the talk about Elefant and whatnot
I'd probably have to rewatch the replay from your perspective to get a full picture, but here's a shorter list
1. You had your JPIV go right past a near dead churchill without firing a single shot (I bet it was on move command), so yeah, small micro mistake.
2. Your opponents were coordinated, employing avariety of units, meanwhile your teammate was losing stuff left and right, and had NO AT for almost the entire game... You don't expect to 1v2 allies do you?
3. I'm sorry that you just can't play with what you want and win, but thats how life works, it's called "meta", get used to it.
4. There are plenty of other suggested solutions to your problem, like Pak43, HEAT shells etc. or not having a teammate that literally throws away 700 fuel.
Okay, so I watched your replay.
1st lost Panther: Charging a damaged PV into a pair of Fireflys
2nd lost PV: Charging a damaged panther into a Churchill supported by an AT gun, and then pointing its rear armor toawrds said Churchill
3rd lost PV: You tried to repair it right on the frontline, had it P47'd (and your pioneers killed), and then you moved it like 10 meters back and just left it there at half health, letting a pair of AT guns and a Jackson finish it off.
4th lost PV: trying to fight a Churchill supported by an AT gun AND AT infantry, don't know what you expected to happen.
Stop throwing those Panthers away like that or I'll have you reported for animal cruelty.
2. After losing your initial Pak40, you didn't build a single AT gun (!) (until 50 min, when the game was over anyway), despite floating 500+ manpower. You didn't ever bother recrewing your lost AT for so long that the USF player went and got it himself.
In fact you didn't have a single source of AT other than the Panther(!)(which you proceeded to lose in some silly way anyway), inbetween losing your panthers there were moments when you had no AT at all, no AT guns, no Shrecks on Pgrens, no Stugs. Your teammate had to do the heavy lifting all by himself (OKW wasn't that brilliant either, when his JP4 drove past 25%hp vet3 Churchill (with its rear pointed at the JP4 i might add) without firing a single shot, allwing it to escape).
Meanwhile allies had a combination of AT inf, multiple AT guns (even a 17p) and Tank destroyers (talking about sources of AT alone)
You can complain about allied TDs all you want, but you didn't lose a single Panther to one of them, at least not beyond range 50 anyway.
3. The USF player was so ahead, that he replaced 3 lost Jacksons and still had 170 fuel left.
Pro tips: micro better, don't throw away expensive vehicles and make a more varied army, allies didn't have "churchills and jacksons", they a had a force made of mixed AT units, AI units and everything inbetween. Combined Arms yo.
So, basically you're playing team games and you are complaining that you need a specific team composition to win? You play sub-optimal you lose, simple as that. This applies to any team-based competetive game (League, DOTA, Overwatch, TF2 etc.) you can't just play whatever you want and expect it to work (not very well at least) and COH2 is no different.
So, yeah, definitely salty.
