Thread: sturm officer 11 Sep 2019, 14:00 PM The starting RA could also be a bit lower now that it's CP2, and especially considering the high reinforce cost of the unit and the fact by CP2 even Volks squads will actually be harder to hit due to their BS vet 1 RA. Starting RA should at least be 0.9 and the RA vet should definitely come before accuracy imo. Sooner for sure. Maybe split the RA vet in half and give some of it vet 1. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: sturm officer 11 Sep 2019, 13:49 PM I definitely think the Vet 3 and Vet 4 should swap; this unit can bleed quite a bit and the accuracy bonus isn't really as necessary with Ober rifles or as a support unit. The abilities all seem pretty good though and the price decrease with vet should make them pretty potent, though I admit I haven't played competitively with OKW post-patch yet. Edit: Raising the CP requirement was dumb though, I can't believe I missed that in the original patch mod lmao. I liked the early sturm officer In: COH2 Balance

"See the World" or whatever? I posted a thread in bugs earlier about it; it does the opposite of what the bulletin says it is supposed to do and makes RE rifles fire 2% slower instead of faster. I have tested this myself. (Value was set to 1.02 instead of 0.98, apparently by mistake) I realize 'fixing' bulletins is a low priority, but this is a purchaseable item doing the exact opposite of what it says it is doing, and is fixeable in the attribute editor. Another error is the higher retreat RA of the M2HB squad, which is also mentioned nowhere in the unit description and is not inline with any of the other MG squads. In: COH2 Balance

This concept has just led to Penal meta because Conscripts and Maxims are nonviable. I still stand by the idea that Conscripts should get a stock PPSh upgrade available to them. I survived the assgren popularity spike with Armor Company Ass Engies mixed with my Riflemen. AssGrens are scary for a while, but if you can just hold the line until you get a light vehicle out they become much less of a problem. Should always have Mechanized Company and Armor Company in your commander list in 1v1 imo. Brits have the uc, Soviets have snipers and scout cars, allied mgs have been nerfed so okw can frontally assault them as long as they have two squads, and Ost has good vision through pioneers. The M20 has pretty good vision that only gets better with vet. I don't remember for sure, but I think the WC51 also has decent sight. You can also go Captain for On Me! eventually, which can rescue squads from suppression. In: COH2 Balance

So the price of 30 fuel would fit well, as it is now. I was actually just thinking about this the other day, but then the problem is the flamer HT becomes too durable. If M17/M16 for allies and 251 flamer were not so potent I would like to see a general buff to halftrack survivability to encourage their use, especially lategame, but those two upgrade paths sort of break the deal.
