Thread: Mobile Defence doctrine30 May 2018, 12:52 PM I don't mind the puma being a call in but having a get out of jail free card to insta spawn a puma to finish off whatever allied medium tank is cheesy as hell. you know I wish I could pull out an AEC or OKW puma out my ass at times too with the click of a button, but other factions and doctrines don't have that ability. Heavy tanks are different in this regard because you don't usually have 240fuel floating around In: COH2 Balance

It's why every half decent faction has acces to garrison counters from early one (flames, mortar) while brits struggle to do anything (and are seriously weak atm since their crutches are gone). At this point I am seriously wondering you're just against okw getting garrison clearing for the simple fact it's okw. Else I expect your thread on why USF should lose the mortar today (afterall, they can rush pack howi for cheaper than okw can rush stuka). Ok I can respect your post as you look at other factions in a relatively balanced sense. But leaving the flame nade and OKW the same isn't going to help things As far as im concerned the OKW vs UKF balance is leaning markedly in favour of OKW. Atm OKW have an answer vs everything you can field and keep you guessing (am I going to need need AEC to deal with luch? or can I survive with ATG to deal with FlakHT? he gets flame nades and StG for free so I need to invest in brens and five man). They can also counter your LV or nerfed emplacements easily with teamweapons while brits don't have that luxury (no snare so AT gun vs luch is risky unlike raketten vs aec). Eventually it gets to the point he is fielding a OKW P4 at the same time you can field a Cromwell when you factor in upgrades. And we all know who wins that match up. Having a cover system is pretty silly when volks can just negate it by throwing inc nades everywhere. Any other grenade you can micro and dodge but vs flame nades your only option is to stand in the open. B-but swordfisch what about molotovs! yes molotovs, the flame grenade that has an upgrade... No airburst hell compare it to any off map that costs the same, eg mech light arty. 100% wipe every time in comparison, especailly again bunkers where at times I'll be shelling a medbunker on semois in the middle and the thing will survive with 30% health or some BS because the AoE and shells fired are so pathetic. you tell me it's really good then Brit howis have been unreliable since release, their indirect options bar the mattress just flat out suck In: COH2 Balance

Unlocking Tier 1 gives you access to it unlocking tier 2 gives you a second gun. you need airburst to make it useful for killing more than the odd gren model, really it's quite pitiful before airburst and rather useless for anything but destroying wooden buildings. One example: If I place a concentration barrage on an MG it should not survive, but before Anvil there's a decent chance it would. Any other howi would wipe it easy and destroy the gun to boot. Good thing Ostheer have a skill plane AT ability that nukes Katyushas and sextons just as easy as a dive bomb nukes an ML-20. guess how much micro that takes after recon? one click In: COH2 Balance

"Concentration barrage" has no range limit, it will reach the end of the map even in large maps. In addition one does need Anvil for air-bust shells. Finally Anvil/hammer cost only 50 fuel which I wouldn't call a "load of Fuel". I was mixed with the other commander howitzer ability, counter barrage that also uses the howitzers. So yes I concede that point to you, I made a mistake. >50 fuel . It's not just 50 fuel though is it? Do you really want me to add up the entire MP and fuel investment to get to Anvil shellburst? Ask yourself this: Is there any offmap in the game that starts off as weak as concentration barage until you dump a load of MP and fuel researching up to Anvil? Imagine if Stuka Dive bomb only dropped a single mortar round until you researched Ostheer Tier 4. Then upon researching for the Stuka divr bomb and Panther you were locked out of the Brumbar/werfer... this is the life of brits There would be outrage yet this commander is left in the dumps In: COH2 Balance

It can be used to destroy an on map artillery piece. it's not an off map because it has a max range it's also weak as piss unless you blow a load of fuel for Anvil and lock yourself out of hammer, should be able to shell FoW BUT british howitzers in base should be more vulnerable to enemy fire and require a MP cost to repair. (or possibly moving them as an upgrade for the mortar pit) I would like to see this doctrine just ripped up and sorted out it's been ignored and mediocre for too long when you have perfectly good models like the Valentine and Sexton just getting zero use because they have been UP since release.
