Thread: What to do with the KT?27 Mar 2018, 15:45 PM How heretical of a thought is it to do either of the following two: a) Make all super heavies doctrinal (including KT) b) Give all armies a super heavy that they unlock when fully teched (pershing, tiger, is-2, and some new one for the brits)? My point once more is that T3 gives access to 1 op unit and 2 average so it is not so good to cover Ostheer needs. And since T4 also has its problems many player go for a Tiger when playing Ostheer. Ok. Is it "more cost efficient"? That's not a question that I answer when comparing factions that are always pitted against each other. Like I said, I guess we have differing opinions on the relative strengths of different units, and we just gotta work with what tools we have available in the game. In: COH2 Balance

Compared to other medium is sort of OK. Ostwind is not that great either. It also becomes obsolete when allied TDs show up. Ok. If you need me to spell out why good players prefer getting P4s means Tier 3 is pretty good (as well as your own admission that the stug is OP) then this conversation is going to take a very long time. Is your opinion that Ostheer Panzer IV "so good" that they do not need a better tank? No, it is my observation that players better than I opt for tier 3 and specifically the P4 -- instead of tier 4 and the units it unlocks. They also explicitly say as much when asked. My opinion on your question is... blank since OKW is my prefered axis faction and I have about 5x as much time with OKW than Wehr. Who cares what my opinion is? Play the way you think is best. I'm not into stupid nitpicking arguments, if you want to turn this into an endless back and forth then let's just skip the whole thing and you can pat yourself on the back right now having slain another vile noob on the forums. Thread: AE's King Tiger Adventure Analysed by Someone With Eyes23 Mar 2018, 15:53 PM 2 comets and an AT gun (with 2 piat squads in distance, but that's more threat than actual damage contributor). The KT _should_ have lost that fight. Though if he had focused on one Comet he could have killed it and things may have gone differently. Hell, if he had his volks squad faust the low HP one it would have killed it as well. Though I can totally appreciate getting upset at RNG in a tense moment.. Last night an su-76 missed 3 shots in a row against a snared dying (like one should would kill it dying) p4 and actually died without landing a single shot. I was pretty pissed too, but what-ya-gonna-do. Also, I just realized I keep using the words "die" or "kill" to describe tanks. Fuggin' game language man. In: Lobby

Ok then pretend I said "before t-34s were useful and moved to tier-4" instead. I didn't play during that time so I don't know all the specifics but I do recall watching cast games and soviet meta was something like "hold out and then call in 2x t34-85s from commander ability" or lend lease. Feel free to disregard my specific example, but my main point is what I care about and I believe it's true. In: COH2 Balance

Best use was for ramming things. The reason people went t3 was for the T70 mostly which was extremely potent squad wiping machine and the goal was to close out the game quickly before late game axis armor started to pile up. (or rely on call- in meta after t3) Also the T4 didn't require T3 and all the units T4 had were very situational/weak. Yeah, my point was that you don't make tier 4 if you don't _need_ it. Why would you? You're just using resources you could put to bolstering your army. If current ostheer meta is tier 3 is enough, then that's what players will do. I imagine if OKW had the P4 moved to Mechanized, then a lot of OKW players wouldn't get Schwer either. In: COH2 Balance
