Okay, I'll be honest that I was trying to hold my horses of posting this one since I was having so much fun spamming racketen as OKW in team games. But, after recently return back to Allies, I found this Racketen spam thing seems to be, you know, overpower. Currently, the only effective way I have is calling for USF calliopes, which is not ideal since it is doctrinal and limited to one single faction. Katy is not effective since the racketens can retreat so quickly to avoid massive casualties. Anyway, ill leave this post as an open topic one. Please let me know if you have any way to counter the racketen blob. Or, feel free, just take this place to complain.
Final update:
For those who declear Katies is a good option.Go try it yourself and then you will know what I meant. Katy is good indeed at close range. But it is way too RNG based, and if you miss the first round of rockest, racketens will push forward and kill your karties.I have killed the opponents katy this way, and my katies were killed this way, and it is definitely not as easy as you think. Infantries spotting is a thing but can do nothing to keep the racketens away, especially when playing as UKF since you lack indirect blob killing tools. Racketens spamming is different now, compare to the old ages hide and seek, they are now directly following the infantries and able to use their extra 5 ranges to provide very powerful AT performances. As I said, I enjoy blobing racketen myself and not once, not twice, but more than 10 times, killing the entire enemy tanks forces without building any tank in team games as OKW.I'll explain more why Katy is way less reliable than you think in my third testing post, which will come up in a few days. In a general conclusion, Katy is the least reliable rocket launcher unit in the game because it is way too RNG base, even at the closest range. It is good at wiping things that can't retreat. But for things that can move fast and retreatable. It is a totaly different case. This is one of the reasons why it is rare to see Soviet players in teams put out Katies until they acknowledge there won't be anyone on his/her side to produce any calliope in high-level games.
I feel wired that some people questioning me for reasons that I post this one under the Balance. I have stated clear. I am considering this racketen spamming thing overpower both at the standpoint of being an OKW player and an allies player. And, of course, you won't understand it unless you go and try it yourself. It is way more satisfied than you think.
And for people who recommended smoke. I really appreciate your advice. But in realiay, it performances poorly, especially in high-level games, and even more when you play as UKF.

Only difference I can see between the M1 57mm and 6 pdr AT gun is the muzzle break on the 6 pdr.
In the game, Yes, it is the only difference.
In reality, no, M1 designation 57mm US AntiTank gun is not completely the same as early war 6 pdr( specifically, mark ii and mark iii). All US build gun has L/50 caliber length barrel, and the later war UK build guns too. The earlier variants were not able to reach that barrel length due to UK manufacturer restriction. So they had to cut the barrel length to L/43 caliber. The M1 designation gun did not put into mass production, and I highly doubt if it was into mass service. M1A2 is the first mass-production variant, and it only has minor changes compared to the M1. |
And for M36. In the game, just by visually seeing it, since it has a bore evacuator, it is almost guaranteed that it should be M36B2. However, it is a very rear variant being seen in WWII, though. So, to the best I can guesss, Relic might intend to make a normal M36 yet, however, got the wrong source picture.
And also, just a kind reminder, M1 57mm is not completely the same as the 6 pounders. M1 has a longer barrel than the early production 6 pdr. However, in the game, since the 6 pdr is a late war variant one, they both have the same length barrel. |
Nothing stupid here, since we were friends and allies in this war.
I am interested, did Americans and British asked for our most modern tanks, like T-34-85 or IS-2 for same investigations, like was with M26?
I know only about tests with KV-1 and T-34. Even saw the information, that British did have plans for producing T-34 on their factories (!!!), but it never happened. Credits to Crecer13 for this source: https://warspot.ru/13725-tridtsatchyotverka-na-gastrolyah
I am not quite sure of the if Brits continued to "import" soviet AFV after they have decided to follow the US design. However, since the US and the UN forces was doing testings on the T-34/85 they captured in the Korean War, I am guessing they have not received anything but in the early stage of the war. |
Just for the M10 or M10A1 question, it is almost impossible to identify only by visually seeing it. However, since in the game it received M93 shot, it is possible that it is a late variant and highly possible that it is an M10A1. Also, I have no direct sources prove that the Soviets received any M10A1, though. |
rank does actually indicate your skill with like 90% accuracy imo
Yes, I know, It just looks cool. |
Yes, I know the rank doesn't directly represent your skill. But, hey, at least it looks cool. I have been trying to grind up to my previous ladder(like about 30 in 4v4) a few weeks ago after a three months break. However, after 20 games, losing 1 and winning the other 19 of them, and keeping the win ratio around 65%, I am still sticking at around rank 100. I know, I have sometimes encountered some very low-rank players( which I do feel bad for them), but still, I don't know how much more I have to grind in order to get back. Jesus, I don't even know in what way I managed to get up to the top 10 once. Anyone is suffering from the same problem. Feel free to share your experience. Just a chill post, please, no arguing here.
(It's tired, not tried. Sorry for the mistyped) |
well yes the vicker is slower in AOE suppression, but single squad thanks to the recent buff it suppresses at the same time as an mg 42
which is pretended in my test under the suppression test. Vickers should leave as what it is with probably a few very minor changes in the future if the German mainline infantries receive any buff. |
on my test u can literally see the suppression value going up , maybe cheat mod 1 is bugged ?
Possibly, however, regardless of what happened in my or your test, in my personal opinion, only for the Vickers, it is inferior compared to Mg42, which it should be considering Brits has better mainline infantries.
Also, I have posted my hypothesis about what happened to the changing gunner stuff. Please read it under the vickers and mg42 picture post. |
Not sure if you found it yet, but here it is!

Thanks, this is gonna be very helpful for the future testing. |
