Thread: Rifles overperforming?24 Sep 2019, 21:53 PM I'm kind of a fan of being able to win engagements where I out-maneuver the guy with long range stationary infantry now. OKW still has sturms and ost still has mg42 so it's not like it's always a straight fight between rifles and volks/grens anyway and they have to sidetech for all their upgrades. In: COH2 Balance

Just to throw it out there what I find annoying is when people have blobs of 3+ falls in teamgames. I don't usually see that with shocks or paras it seems, and the latter two seem to bleed more manpower since they're six men (which is obviously a huge advantage in survivability to be fair). No reason they shouldn't be able to; pfusies, pgrens, and recon support paras can all still throw nades when given their AT upgrades, and they have real grenades. In: COH2 Balance

Ukf needs assault infantry. +1 I think sections are fine for their role now, but the bigger issue now is that brits have extremely limited nondoc options and now most of their crutchy BS is gone. Nondoctrinally, they have no mobile indirect (neither mortars nor rockets), no flamers, no actual CQC/assault infantry (exacerbated because sections are even worse at mobile fighting now), no anti-infantry light vehicle, and extremely limited smoke options in the early/midgame (it's literally just mortar pit and those aren't competitive). They have hardly any unit variety nondoctrinally at all and still get hardcountered by turtling and indirect spam because of it. In: COH2 Balance

They wouldn't be good for prolonged combat that way. The ambush doesn't last very long and it'd still be a huge hit to their teamgame blobbing potential without really nerfing how they're supposed to be used. In: COH2 Balance

With latest free buff it gets even better with vet bonus. If you are getting model drop by grens/pg, then it can be down to not maximising enough the maxim superior pin, reposition and survival times. Imo it is unlike the pak40. Sure it is fine now, but perhaps not fine-fine, with state of counters against it and wehrboo needs most a good ATG that scale well. Over many patches, we already seen wehr more static composition has been very counterable. Heck the bunker just got a nerf. Just imo, between pressing needs to examine a unit, it has to pak40 before maxim. lol. You're mad that pak40 gets countered but its counters? Bunker didn't even get nerfed that hard, it just doesn't do anything it shouldn't have been doing in the first place (providing vision way beyond its arc, which is already self-spotting anyway). 100% an l2p issue, sorry bud.
