Thread: Pershing blows - USF Heavy Cavalry30 Oct 2020, 03:06 AM the USF privilege of actually complaining about needing an engineer to heal the tank is unbelievable... an engineer that can get AT or BARs to support no less. most factions do that actually, and less than half the others can slap guns onto their engineers to make them more than repair bots. and as DREADFUL as it is to take 30 whole seconds to heal 320 damage, that's actually kind of the point of dealing damage... Thread: EFA halftracks late game30 Oct 2020, 02:48 AM Hi all, just wanted a quick thread here about EFA halftracks and their lack of late game presence. Once upon a time halftracks could continue to reinforce after being upgrade. This turned out to be a massive power spike and was axed. However I'm proposing a compromise--AFTER final techs are completed these units regain their ability to reinforce so that they can retain some value. For the soviet this might lead to seeing the quad as more than an emplacement, and for ost the hope is that once the flame has lost it window for micro ost can still use it to offset their small squad sizes should it survive. Thread: Zis Barrage need longer cooldown28 Oct 2020, 23:32 PM Combined arms OP. PLS nerf. New proposal. If there are allied units near the zis the barrage is unavailable that way combining the barrage with a push isn't possible. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Zis Barrage need longer cooldown28 Oct 2020, 19:44 PM less shells and cost means more availability so beware of that avenue. also no soviet player is going to skip indirect if they need indirect, being able to press the zis into indirect is a nice bonus but its no substitute for the mortar which is cheaper, has no munitions cost, has a flare, can retreat, can provide constant damage. side not i think its hilarious that the zis does a better job of punishing blobs than the maxim does... Thread: The maxim thread28 Oct 2020, 19:41 PM Jump back to quoted post28 Oct 2020, 15:03 PMBetterDead ThanRed so, if maxim arc got buffed to 120 like most mg's, would that be ok? or would something else be nerfed to compensate? maybe give it shorter effective range to dmg/supress? the problem isnt its arc. the problem is that it provides no value if: there is ANY cover at all, it doesnt have a 6 man crew and it doesnt have vet and enough time and munitions to pop the ability. if any of theses 3 things fall through the maxim will not hold the line. instead of increasing arc and decreasing range one might try going the other way, increasing the range and decrease arc so that it has the extra few seconds of applying suppression so the enemy might actually eat dirt before getting a nade off or walking outside the arc. this would actually help with the death loop too as its less likley to be receiving enemy fire, however if flanked its only as durable as before In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Zis Barrage need longer cooldown28 Oct 2020, 00:33 AM Jump back to quoted post27 Oct 2020, 23:45 PMgbem Mortars are terrible vs the zis... the zis can actually kill a mortar pretty easily... the most reliable zis counter remains the stuka zu fuss with the pwerfer and brummbar barrage trailing it...leigs are half decent aswell... Still double zis is still pretty cancer to both use and face... and id prefer not to see it anytime soon but the mortar can hide behind blockers. do you... do you try to kill the zis using the mortars small arms? that would explain the trouble you are having... also if its not on the front its countered. all health damage to a zis matters because outside doctrines soviet wont heal on the field and has to walk all the way home...
