Mortar pit suck and being easily countered by leigs besides you making sim city with 3 of them and repair station near.
But it could be BETTER if it required... Any input at all really aside from panic shields |
Hello, dark again.
Was thinkn bout the mortar pit and it very powerful range, this is mostly acceptable due to the inability to retreat (however this is also the reasoning behind its high health pool and brace..and no bleed from damage, only complete destruction) and I was wondering why not just make it like the pak howi? Short auto fire (same range or shorter than a normal mortar) but exceptional barrage capabilities? It is already amazingly unique in being a double mortar building that can be garrisoned, I dont think it should be able to counter other indirects without addition micro. It would also be VERY cool if one could designate seperate barrage locations for each mortar (or have one barrage and one auto fire) I feel while it is a hefty investment its kinda set and forget aside from brace if needed and it is effective for automatically supporting most 1v1 maps and is especially strong vs the ost combined arms. I know it DOES have counters and that isnt so much my concern, it is how "easy" it is to use vs how little actual bleed (even a blob will bleed you a bit) thoughts? |
Im 100% in favour of adding new unit and doctrines but I think they need to nail down balance with what they already have first.. I mean just look at stage 4 cancer commander for the Brits.. That took resources to bring in line and you can bet your ass an new units/commanders will as well... If they DO Come into the game balanced (or UP) they will be ignored as the meta/balance changes and will lead to much disappointment for all... |
Did you use the su76 before its buff? thee puma has the same problem
Except for time of arrival and having a turret (being able to get behind AND shoot) smoke, a good vet ability, actually GREAT vet ability that can be used to do everything from stun to wipe retreating squads...also not in the same late game tier as a REAL (relative to the unit) tank destroyer. |
They could have it so units supressed by aoe supression lose the defensive bonus quicker. It wouldnt hurt defensive lines because supression is generally used most on the defence, it wouldnt effect slightly spread units, only mindless blob. The ONLY way to make sure blobbing isnt effective is to make it unsustainable. Supression mechanics give too much "blob safety" by reducing their damage. |
AP rounds definitely need improvement. That makes me laugh to see, that AP round reflects from Panther armor. Sometimes - even rear armor..
The panther has 320 frontal armour, so yea its going to have a chance to bounce, thats ok cause it out ranges it by 20. Also AP rounds statistically can not bounce the rear armour of the panther, its only 110 (less than a t34s front armour) |
Why does everyone hate mines? Seriously? "if the enemy rushes you you are screwed" lay a mine and they wont get to far... Why is combined arms so hard....ALSO the barrage ability (while RNG cause relic LOOOOOVES abilities that have the potential to do absolutely nothing no matter what the player tells it to...) I have been lucky enough to insta Gib a few squads with it. Its long range support for stuff like machine guns and at guns.. |
Infantry Shoukd have the ability to slow down armour, beit something that you place (kinda like a button that if they drive over it it will slow them down untik they repair) or like.. An object that can be thrown at (or maybe propelled by like.. A disposable launch tube?) that can effect the speed in the same way that the "speed Button" would. But alas, were stuck with mines and snares to stop the enemy from driving their expensive tank into our dirt cheap (relatively) infantry squads. |
I really like the idea of cheaper pits and bonus in friendly territory. They should be off the front and ensuring you can zone breakthroughs until reinforcements can arrive. Also do the Rifle nades fire from the carbine or the model? (as in will bars reduce the amount of nades?) |
Im all for more halftrack utility amd depth, the fact that they see so little use outside of a poor mans ambulance saddens me |
