What is it good for anymore? I think the recent stats answer that question, and the answer is nothing. There is absolutely no point in it any longer (Apart from it being OP before, and even then I was disgusted by it and only used to spam it once just for the shitz and giggles). How many units should it be able to fight off by itsel? Should the axis player need at least 3 indirect units to take it out? It doesnt bleed. Its all or nothing as the axis player. If they bring it to the cusp of death but for some reason cant finish it yet you landed a single shot killing a single model you have bled the enemy more than they bled. I would be in favour of unlimited brace if it acted like the old soviet self repair that puts a tax on MP income so it mimics bleed (and every unit you brace increases the tax, same as the old self repair) but until emplacments bleed there is no reason they should be able to fight off the whole german army by themselves. Thread: British infantry sections28 Feb 2018, 18:22 PM The problem with faction design is that its been poorly inplemented in some cases and relic didnt stick to their guns in other cases. A mobile smoke and flank, constant pressure faction sounds great! What we got was the exact opposite because flanking is generally optional as there is minimal negative impact to wave tactics using super soldiers. Okw was interesting but felt more like they slammed all the unused ost commander ideas and turned it into a faction making it stacked then toning down resources to try and balance it. Brits... Well the idea of emplacments and sappers stemming the bleed from tommies who would be eaten out of cover was interesting... Then they reduced the impact of veing out of cover and kept no bleed emplacments and dirt cheap sappera and hoped everything would be ok leaving us with a faction almost mirroring ost, but superiour in each and every way... Ost v soviet they cocked up by making one sides advantage ALSO the other sides disadvantage. Make the ost tanks have high armour? Lets also make soviet tanks low AT capabilities widening the gap. Similiarily giving ost small squads, and then stacking the soviet AI with huge powerful AOE weapons and AI out the ass resulting impossible squad preservation from ost. Then of course all the knee jerk over buffs amd nerfs that cascaded because of bad design. Asymmetric design and unique factions is a great idea and keeps things fresh, but they need to bloody stop stacking shit and look at the whole. Like tommies being better grens but flexible and cheaper to reinforce, or Similiarily sappers, or volks v cons, now penals v pgrens.... Its just a mess of power creep and power vacuum In: COH2 Balance

But even with the barrage range a pit being fired on from 2 or 3 different directions won't last long, the Pit can fire at 1 target at one time. Also since when do you play anything else besides OKW? The thing is, immobile or not it shouldnt be surviving be attacked by 2/3 units at once from different directions. It used to be able and that was a problem. The problem is that there is limited downside to investing in 2/3 indirect fire units to counter the pit because they will continue to bleed the enemy and possibly even wipe with 0 input from the player after the pit has fallen in the same way the pit used to. Any unit that can inflict micro and bleed on the enemy with no or next to no input from you is bad news. The fact that wipes can come from them as well is just extra bad In: COH2 Balance

Osther PzIV was 350/125 and now 350/120 OKW PzIV was 360/135 and then 360/150 and now 380/140 Thats because the okw and ost p4 are not the same. One spawns with 234 armour the other only 180. The panthers used to be the same price iirc (command panther too for reasons unknown) Okw vehicles are super durable, that warrants and extra cost. The only issue is that allied infantry stomps so much that allied medium armour isnt as necessary as axis mediums meaning the allies can sink their fuel into TDs allowing them to counter the armour advantage the axis need to tip the infantry fights. The tiger is more similar in role but still way tougher than the comet. Pershing is probably a better unit to campare with than the tiger, they both have similar strengths, drawbacks and intended usage. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Make all Loiter plane abilities a lined strafe 24 Feb 2018, 00:00 AM Why not make loiter planes fly around abit before their first strafe? Then IF the player invested in AA they can counter it with minimal impact, but if not they reap what they sow. Loiters would be more efficient against an unprepared enemy but significantly less effective when the counter is present. Meanwhile the strafe would be cheaper and harder to use, but a skill shot which balances itself In: COH2 Balance
