It's fine that they hit hard - USF needs a strong TD to deal with Axis heavy/ultra-heavy tanks. The problem is, they can do that while also being the fastest medium in the game, having significantly higher moving accuracy than any other tank AND having TD-range. Basically, if well micro'd, they'll basically never be hit by anything. and not to be forgotten- if you DO hit it, it can heal itself In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Remove plates for the Wehrmacht minefields7 Aug 2019, 01:01 AM Jump back to quoted post6 Aug 2019, 21:57 PMTiger Baron Or if you have half a brain just minesweep it. if you use them to defend your flanks and have half a mind ow whats going on around them they wont be swept so easily. i think thats why players think they suck- they set them up waaaaaay away on a scenic flanking route like normal multipurpose mines and expect the enemy to walk right through them. use them near where your units are and watch what a rifle nade or mortar shell does to a sweeper on a mine field. they will be swept away in 90 minutes if you let them, the trick is to not just let them. That holds back t2 more than conscripts, if you had a vickers or .50 cal that pops off models easily you would have a different dynamic. but conscripts being trash certainly doesnt help even when cons have ppshs the maxim is leaps and bounds better because the enemy cant just close with impunity. its all an eco system mate, cons HAVE to be viable or it will be maxim spam like it was or penal spam like it is now. Because cheap spammable AT that is mobile and can snare is an awful AWFUL idea.... Maybe u can fight of or save retreat against jacksons. In: COH2 Balance

In theory. But RNG is RNG. the old su85 used to shoot every 2 seconds with vet, but it wasn't reliable against anything but a p4. If there was a way to force RNG to align then for sure. The commander will dominate the meta unless another commander is revamped to be +120% op. If the commander is nerfed to be the 100% power level any an all commander close 100% power level will start being used. You will need to nerf a whole lot of commanders pretty damn hard to make Soviet defensive tactics on the level of even the next worst commander... In: COH2 Balance

It would be different from the one found in the Theater of War missions, removing panzerfaust but gaining the ability to call in medical supplies, Fragmentation bombing replaced with Incendiary bombing (these would free up the two required commander slots to include the Officer and Falls), Recon replaced with Smoke bombs and Stuka Close Air Support replaced with Concentrated fire (the aura ability found on Arty officers). As for the Falls, they would deploy with rifles and can be upgraded with Stormtrooper Mp40s for free and Fg42s (on top of rifles or smgs) for like 60 munis. This upgrade system would represent the equipment problems Falls had at Crete. I like this idea. Many of the strafe could be tied to the officer rather than off map which could also mean they could be buffed as they are not global but instead localized, meaning they could come in quicker. More active play, less annoyingly OP or UP depending on distance from edge of map. With Soviet paras having a vet strafe too I think it could open up great play with precedent In: COH2 Balance
