You should protest the change by not making anymore threads until they let you change it back! If you are participating despite their gross over reach of power you are accepting their sovereignty
It's a panther with less points in AT and more in utility basicly. It's easier to make part of your army since is has abilities to support it. Anything less than a panther and it is king. Particularly Ost t3. Yes those units are cheaper but it's sort of the same philosophy as the panther making allied mediums obsolete. It doesn't solo win games anymore but tossing 1 into your build if you can doesn't hurt at all.
We can compare all the fire vehicles damage in the game and then this debate will rest once for all
Flame was normalized a bit back. Only outlier is the OST flame halftrack because it has 2 projectors.
So the hetz is good, small, but casemate
Churchill is a Churchill for starts and has a hull flamer
UC is cheap but squoshy
Kv8 has a turret and is durable.
Each has their own flare to flames
how about make the range same and decrease cost than normal At gun to compensaate for o buggy shield? but retreat has to go at this range/
It already costs less than a normal AT gun. It's fine as is now that it can't creep. It's less good at killing tanks but more good at surviving. Given the price of okw armour that's OK.
To be honest, for the panther... Wouldn't buffing its pen be acceptable? Hear me out. It's only got 50 range but also already always pens allied stock tanks less brit end tier shit.... That would give both factions something that is reliable as hell against the few allied heavies. Adjustments would be needed to keep them from over running team games (hard cap of 2?)
Allied factions got their answer to heavily armored targets (overly so) but the axis are both geared almost entirely towards lightly armored mediums. The panthers cost and a restriction of build could really allow it to shine in the role it's supposed to. A hard limit on units that are difficult to balance has proven great for the game, I think we should build on it
Now that they have almost the same range as other at guns and have an extra man, I don't really see why they still have retreat. Why they need it more than any other AT gun is beyond me and having it just makes it easier to play really risky with them and not be punished for it at all.
Also why would you play brits rn? They suck and have nothing redeeming about them as a faction except commandos.
Raks are still 5 range less than other AT guns and also lack a gun shield. The cover from the shield is bugged but applying sometimes is better than never and also the gun shield sometimes eats tank shells.
Which makes sense really. Rifles are the most upfront so you start getting results from that alone but grens are the squishiest so if nurtured to max vet they pay dividends. Seems fair to me really.
