Puma + Heat Shell is quite reliable and gives it enough pen to still penetrate medium tank armor. Its only issue is the early potential of its doctrine. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: British emplacements 19 Sep 2016, 15:09 PM IMO, Relic should never have done emplacements again, they should have made team weapons able to entrench themselves and allowed hulling-down of Fireflies. But that ain't happening anytime soon. Switching up costs and popcap likely won't fix the problem, especially in team games where its more prevalent, it'll just lock the player into his city. To me, the mortar pit is the enabler, reducing the range of the auto-attack to 80 while retaining the barrage's range and fixing its second mortar would go a long way. The pit would be strong, but wouldn't AFK lockdown half a map anymore. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Opinions about double weapon racks14 Sep 2016, 14:47 PM IMO, Zook and PIATs are fine as-is. 2x Bar could work with a long-range nerf and buffs to short-mid so its closer to the STG or Con PPSH. It would also promote synergy with 1919 Rifles or Paras ideally. 1919 and Bren limited to one. I've had a friend argue that K-Guns should remain as-is to prevent Special Weapons from being a doctrine everyone has and no-one uses. It'd be interesting to test, but I wouldn't be surprised if that winds up being a bad idea. In: COH2 Balance

In theory you can tech skip, in reality they're shittier guards with minimal scaling, the usual Tommy weaknesses and the long British commander cooldowns. IMO, allowing normal Tommies to upgrade to THIS or allowing them to "upgrade" out of the AT rifles would be fine. In: COH2 Gameplay

Which do you find more useful for 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3+ as elchino7 laid out... Partisans are pretty amazing 1v1. Special Weapons can be pretty solid in a 1v1 as well by giving coverage against light vehicles for that all-important first Cromwell. For me, I'd say its a toss-up on which faction you prefer. As to higher games, probably Special Weapons, especially with Soviet allies because Vicker K penals supported by PIAT Cons are pretty nuts. In: COH2 Gameplay
