Thread: When are Panzerfusiliers getting nerfed?1 Dec 2020, 15:17 PM
Yes, they get an extra man from a 80(?) muni upgrade. But that's a very expensive upgrade that is delayed by contested maps. Usage of grenades, mines and/or snares will further delay the G43s, keeping you potentially with a 5 man squad. As for the 6 men squad, they are direct combat wise better than Stg volks, but can't build sandbags either relegating them to mostly light cover and the occasional bit of heavy you can find. To people who think pzfusilier blobs are too much, wait until you meet the M1919 blob that has a smoke (CPT)! In: COH2 Balance |

No one going to say it? Okay. Panzerfusiliers get zero survivability from vet before vet 3 and drop (1 size!) models like crazy before then. Even volks are more durable at vet 1, model for model. They are fine(?) EDIT: Ok Elpern touched on it. In: COH2 Balance |

Consider removing the suppression for the low angle barrage on the PW. I'm for this as well after seeing Tightrope's vid including a test of it. Nasty enough barrage without extra suppression, your men are kept in place while the rest of the rockets arrive and no way to run out of the 'circle' as you would vs most rocket arty. Tightrope Tests & Analysis If you fast forward he also does a comparison between the CalliOP and the PW low-angle barrage. In: COH2 Balance |

Good thing Panthers got their armor nerfed (320 to 260) in exchange for one more hit of hp (800 to 960). And Allied TDs got buffed across the board since 2015 and now reliably pen 260 armor easily. Days of 6 Panthers in Essen (for ONE player) are long long long in the past. In: COH2 Balance |

Isn't this just a Grenadier ? >.< Seriously, they're fine as is in terms of combat performance overall. And that's coming from someone with an Obersoldaten in the portrait. I'll bow out of this convo now. In: COH2 Balance |

Ehhh the problem is not a (dodgeable) gift basket but the fact that 0.7 model size infantry with 30.8-66.7% more dps than grens (0-35 range) is suicide to charge into with stock cons/mainlines. Grens are 0.91 model size for reference. Maybe riflemen can get away with it, but expect to lose 2-3 models on approach. And if you shoot from range, they'll be fighting at optimum ranges for shredding through your men who now don't have LMG or any real tool for dealing with them. Basically think of them as souped up grens but good and lack AT. They're meant to handle vetted infantry (but can't really handle lmg vet mainlines until they get vetted up too). Stock infantry just get slaughtered. They'll vet up super fast to III+ and then they are nigh unstoppable by stock infantry or even squad-for-squad lmg vet mainlines (which is intended). Multiple con squads will still walk over them but it's at grave cost unless they're going PPSH or SVT perhaps. In: COH2 Balance |

Ehh considering how many complaints panzergrens are getting, I don't think that's a good idea... The T4 placement is fine without overpowering stuff like cons (ober vs vet 0 con ), but the placement timing I've voiced against many a time (in the live version). In: COH2 Balance |

Obers were getting deleted by vet II+ LMG infantry by the time they came out in 3v3+. As a rule of thumb these days I assume that I'll be to be forced to retreat a pair 2-3 times before enough vet is attained to go toe-to-toe with a pair of vet II+ mainline lmg squads. And that's from fighting in light cover! Granted this change might make them rather obnoxious in 1v1s but we'll see. In: COH2 Balance |

Volks remaining as they are for inf fights is a feasible option I suppose as Obers are available earlier, but how that'll translate in practice we'll see. SP Flamethrower and minesweeper are still exclusionary unless I misread, is this intentional? Potentially too powerful I suppose. Medics being available after being built should go a long way towards improving the backteching for medics and incentivise trucks in the base a bit. Unsure how it'll affect the 1v1 situation.
