Hello, I won't go over what's already been said but will give you a little comparison to show the potential effects. I'd say the (arguably) biggest demonstrator of the effects of Veterancy would be LMG Obers at vet II/III. The veterancy's combat bonuses do not make it obvious the big difference it makes unless you are familiar with the way the system works behind the screen so to speak. Eg: Elite Allied infantry such as (2x)LMG Paratroopers can walk over most axis infantry even vetted and even Obers at vet 0. At vet II that easy fight people expect suddenly turns into dropping models all over the place and low hp models running away on retreat are in serious trouble. A pair of Vet III LMG Obers can stand up to 3 or even 4 2xBren vet III tommies blobbed and inflict comparable bleed. You try that scenario with vet 0 tommies (to say replace a massive loss) and those Obers will just walk over you. If I had more time I would do a video but unfortunately cannot. Not all veterancies have the same effect or scale so a vetIII does not necessarily counteract vet III on another unit. That -29% received accuracy means that the enemy needs (1/0.71) -1 => 40.8% more accuracy to counteract. Very few Allied squads get +40% accuracy, tommies get +20% and Riflemen +30%. Cons get +40% but you'll lose to vet 0 LMG Obers with those guys potentially. Conversely, a +40% accuracy has more than counteracted most allied RA bonuses from vet so they are in an even more dangerous situation than if it was vet 0 vs vet 0. tl;dr I'd suggest learning the more commonly used unit veterancies so you are less likely to be caught off guard. ...are usually the first medium tanks to hit the field even though they're significantly more powerful than the Allied equivalents. You will have to clarify whether you mean both pz IVs or just the OST one as the only way the OKW one comes out early is if the OKW player goes med tank rush and can be read like a book when doing so. I'm sure it's been said before but I seriously doubt the minor reload time nerf to the Calliope is enough, esp for something that can go near the frontline with minimal fear of being sniped out and delete squads with nary any warning. Hope it gets a serious look at in the commander overhaul later, suggesting at least another -10% reload time to the vet stats or other nerf. In: COH2 Balance |

You are not supposed to defeat T4 infantry with your stock infantry (and panzergrens are also much more expensive than rifles but you still have plenty of tools for dealing with them too iirc)....but last I checked, Scott and Sherman still beat Axis elite infantry easily. The Axis equivalent I have to do every match vs UKF because IS just walk over volks so I have to engage with full combined arms. In: COH2 Balance |

Might as well just swap the Scott for the Priest if they want to gut its auto abilities. You have your own elite infantry (Paras come to mind) and CalliOP spam seems to be the meta in 4v4. I also don't recall 50 call DPS/Suppression being nerfed. Extremely oppressive unit for OKW to get rid of, LEFHs don't do anything worth mentioning vs it and diving often fails due to it requiring 3 shots,nobounce,nomiss,nointerception, etc. In: COH2 Balance |

There's a reason I go auf J rush esp vs UKF, because your volks just can't stand up to IS at any point in the game. StG 44 volks are equalised (or beaten) by 5 man IS or Bren IS. Not long ago I was ranting on the forum about how volks behind sandbag were losing models at the same rate as double bren tommies out of cover in a shootout. Feuersturms' 0.9(Can someone confirm this stat pls?) RA MP40 volks can meme your opponent but only if they don't see it coming. And Feuer works extremely well on heavy urban, with lots of tighter confines where automatics work better and cover can become your death vs nades and flame weapons/munitions. Emplacements are fiery tombs vs Feuer. Assault Officer helps a lot, but the faction does fine on heavy urban imho, it's just not a meme any more. Feuersturm can be beaten by decent opponents rather well, esp if they stick to long range shootouts, forcing you to come to them. Hamburg is better vs UKF because you already are assuming a grind battle and ISGs shine there and the map boils down to three narrow lanes, making flanking highly predictable and counterable or just plain dangerous/long winded. UC faces the choice of staring down predictable corridors where a rak is prob waiting. But Vickers will still kick you off any fuel point easily and flanks stopped by IS squads effortlessly.
