Since UKF is getting closer and closer to a balanced state, let's never forget the legendary early state of UKF aka the faction that Relic forgot to play-test before release.
To all the September 2015 veterans, who still remembers....
- bugged Centaurs that would kill a garrisoned unit within 1 second
- 160 damage Tulip rockets
- Emplacement brace with 0 seconds cooldown
- 1600 Health Churchills that required 10 penetrating AT gun shots to get killed
- Wasp and Crocodile flamers that killed any inf squad in 1 burst (all flamer weapons were OP at that time)
- Infantry sections that dealt 50% more damage per shot than they do today
- 40 ammo PIATs that would deal 40 damage on deflection and whose ground-attack range was higher than OKW t4 flak range
- 110 fuel Cromwells that have almost the same moving scatter like EZ8 shermans and same mobility like a Rallye Racing car
- Comets with same armor and even more mobility like a Panther, and whose main gun was as lethal as the one from Tiger; phosphorus shells that hard-counter AT guns and blind tanks
- Bofors supporting fire that hard-countered its intended counter: Mortars and AT guns
- 6cp turbo-fire land matress that kills all OKW HQs in 1 barrage
The good old days of PIAT blobs with Centaur rush and Churchill spam
Yes, it was the most broken thing this game ever encountered, but let's be honest: It felt so good to taste the tears of all the OKW volks schreckblobbers and LeIg spammers
In this current gameplay i´ll show you why you shouldn´t hurt people´s little feelings while trying to teach them how to play (if you are currently doing things better than him)... Ty and a request for the replay to tell me how to approach to these kind of players (I am Carlos Antonio(british))
I must say all of your replays have a very solid chat every time, keep going
seriously, what's the point in getting the jagtiger now? it's so weak and unreliable there is no gain in getting one anymore.
I agree with most of the balance changes but this time not. with this change there is one strategical option less an strategical diversity got flattened.
80% of the shots missing is completely over-exaggerated, it was just unlucky RNG.
The acceleration- and mobility nerfs were more than deserved, you remember the old vet 2 JT with the upgrade? It was hilarious how that thing was able to escape flanking attacks on its own. (Lets not talk about vet 4 JT aka 70 tons Ferrari, lol)
The damage nerf was perfect imo, it got decreased from 320 to 300 only, means it still deals a lot damage vs tanks but doesnt 1- or 2- shot 95% of the allies tanks anymore without any support which -let's be honest- was really unfair and stupid for a tank that has such a long weapon range.
There is a reason why the old allies meta in the bigger team modes was basically just arty spam in order to erase the axis infantry --> win by map control and VPs, instead of mass-producing tanks and trying to flank the heavy tanks (cos that was kinda impossible* vs decent players and on certain maps; or required cheesy off-map strike spam which got nerfed in last patch)
*Usually, a JT is protected by tanks, AT guns, scouting units, snares and a lot of mines (from your teammate(s))
I think getting multiple Panthers or JP4s is better than getting JT now, but I also think JT is still necessary if the allies reach a critical amount of their lethal TDs (Firefly, Jackson, SU 85)
