Thread: AT rifles bug3 May 2017, 13:18 PM So if an AT Weapon does 80 damage and the Vehicle has 40 HP the killing blow will still land? Or does the bug apply to all hits that will take a vehicle to and below 0? Also, not a COH2 patch unless there is some bug added in for flavor In: COH2 Bugs

DSHKAS?2 May 2017, 20:24 PM Could probably just mirror it to the USF .50 Cal TBH - it has similar traits like Sprint at Vet 1 and AP rounds and when is the last time you heard anyone bitch about USF HMG? Honestly though, people are only bitching about DSHK now because it's popular after the Maxim nerf - it's mostly just knee jerk complaining because people are seeing it more now and therefore are attributing it more to their losses. I ask because according to the description only the PIVJ, JPIV, Panther, and KT benefit from HEAT shells. I didn't think the Puma did but never specifically looked. Thanks. Thread: [1v1] Struggling as USF2 May 2017, 15:31 PM Without looking at the replay I'd say you go Lt when you want to be more aggressive and/or push an early advantage whereas Captain is more of a play it safe strategy where you can get access to AT Guns and a Stuart that can easily counter light vehicles (if you struggle against Luches for example). Against OKW M20 rush is a viable strategy now that their panzerfausts are delayed - get the armor upgrade and use it to force off Strumpios and lone Volks squads - you can force him to waste MP on an early Raken or Munitions on Fausts with no follow-up that way. LT is also good on maps with dominant garrisons that you can use .50 Cal to good effect. Early Weapons racks are good with LT so you can get zooks out early in case of Luches (which is a hardcounter to LT tech). If you go LT against OST then the AAHT is pretty good since it can counter single 222s with ease and the suppression can really frustrate some players. If you want to go LT -> Captain you can try experimenting with commanders with call-in armor like Armor or Heavy Calv so that you can get proper tanks out without having to wait for Major Tech. Thread: OKW HEAT Shells cooldown?2 May 2017, 15:23 PM HEAT Shells are nice in that they let Pumas and PZ4s punch above their weight class and take on Advanced Mediums like T85s and EZ8s more easily - they also let you get sneaky wipes against heavy tanks against opponents who get cocky and think they can absorb more damage then they can. I'd say it's more attractive now that Command Panther Mark Target isn't so OP anymore. The only downside is that Sturmtiger aside there isn't a whole lot to like with the commander (unless they ever buff the Tank Commander Arty Upgrade) In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Teamgame dominant meta1 May 2017, 17:20 PM Agree for the most part with the proposed changes although I have a few thoughts Calliope - It's a tad too durable yes, but if you hit it with a double whammy of Armor/HP AND nerfed Rockets then it's kind of hard to justify it's pricetag in my estimation and then it doesn't have much differentiation with Priest/Infantry Company. Fireflies - I see your point, they are beastly at Vet 3 (but the same can be said with all Tank Destroyers really) I don't think many people realize how good they are because of how efficient Cromwell spam previously was. That being said they suffer from Obers syndrome where they are sort of lackluster until they get Vet and if you nerf them too hard I don't know how useful they'll be at Vet 0 - price adjustment might help this but I wouldn't mind seeing some kind of turret rotation Vet added in place of the damage buff as well since Rotation speed is pretty bad for Firefly and holds it back. Howitzers - I'm a big advocate for MP reduction in cost but 75 fuel seems a bit steep to really make getting Howitzers easier if they retain their current durability as long as Off-Maps can continue to completely destroy the weapon in one click then it's pretty hard to justify risking that much fuel on it. B4 could use a Pop Cap Reduction too. Emplacement/ ISG Rework - YES PLEASE - Range is a big factor that allows Sim City/Truck City to dominate large swaths of land. For ISGs giving them smoke would be an indirect Anti-Garrison tool as it would allow Volks to close in with Flame Nades. I don't know about disabling Sapper repairs while Brace is up (if it's already under fire Sapper repair is already punished enough due to Repair penalties to damage) - disabling Stand Fast and Forward Assembly Repair might be enough as that is what really makes Emplacements Cancerous . Also, Forward Assembly SHOULD NOT repair itself. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Wiring Off Cover: Does it Work?27 Apr 2017, 18:39 PM Simple Question - Does wiring off Sandbags actually work? You'll often see casts where one player will wire off another's sandbags only for the other's units to just hug the wire and still get the green shield indicating heavy cover. Is this a bug? Misleading indication? Thread: Are Obersoldaten balanced?27 Apr 2017, 16:29 PM Obers are an investment that pays off with unit preservation as soon as they hit Vet 2 and start picking off models with every LMG burst. They either A) Randomly die before Vet 2 and are generally are a waste of MP or B) Become one of your MVP squads for the game and wreck face. Personally I've always liked Miragefla's solution of a cheaper T4 Truck that needs to be upgraded to call in Tanks so that you can get Obers out sooner before they have to contend with Vetted/Upgraded Allied Infantry. I think other things can be done too (Spreading out Veterancy bonuses more and changing the Vet 4 suppression into a timed ability like they did with the Luches. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: M10 health too high27 Apr 2017, 16:22 PM I don't know about it being too good post-crush nerf. You have to remember that before the health buff way back when they weren't used all that often since they were too fragile (at least Jackson has really good penetration to make up for being a glass cannon). M10s by nature are down and dirty flankers and divers so they need that extra health or are useless. In: COH2 Gameplay

Brummbar can damage tanks that mindlessly try to engage that from the front. Of course, we're not stupid. We're not going to fix call-in-tied stuff until we are allowed to solve the call-in problem. Glad to hear that you guys have more things in the works Fixing units like that is a nice way to inject some life into the game so you see more than the same 3-4 commanders every game unless someone goes non-meta just because.
