This means bringing small arms efficiency vs emplacements up and bringing lava nade efficiency vs emplacements down. I agree with you there - thing with emplacements is that they do need more ways to counter (IE Infantry Flanks) - my only concern is that a low Brace duration overbuffs the current standard counters (ISG/Mortar Barrage Spam or Mortar HT Fire/Flamer HT). Even now a Flamer HT will do significant damage to a braced emplacement and ISG barrage timer is so low that 2 of them make short work of unbraced emplacements. I feel like Brace needs to be more than an off-map counter at at least be a "buy time to mount a counter attack" ability too. Maybe 15 seconds? I suppose you'd need to add a Can't Pack-Up while Braced rule as well so people can't just Brace and then Pack-Up to get resources from a doomed emplacement. In: COH2 Gameplay

A flank with two Volks and two spaced out flame nades and goodbye emplacement - just eyeballing it this Brace nerf seems to over reward flanks even if emplacements are more affordable now. Thread: Crossroads by WhiteFlashReborn6 Jul 2017, 15:28 PM I don't think the south garrison cut-off is too bad since it has no south facing windows meaning it's of no use in holding the opposing players cut-off in most cases. The northern-center garrison is kind of strange though - mostly just because it's pretty easy to collapse by accident by errant tank crushing. Could maybe just use a smidge more health to compensate for having less windows? In: Mapping Discussion

Pretty much yeah - it's not great for pushing as a StuG/Pak Wall would pick it apart easily and you obviously run the risk of it not being able to disengage from unfavorable engagements. It's basically the whole Anvil concept in a nutshell- Command Churchill sitting with a Firefly and maybe an Emplacement or two is hard to push off. Heavy TD supported with JP4 and StuG, who still fire faster than Jacksons and will rip them up and will always Pen (or almost always). Panzershreks and Mines will also deter from T34 and M10 swarm diving as well. Ele and JT don't need to be able to 2 shot a Jackson to still be a force on the battle field (if anything it highlights how silly the Ele/JT dynamic with Jacksons is in team games currently). Do people really think that requiring one more hit (not even) from hard AT to kill a Jackson is really going to make all that much more of a difference? M10 spam with Armor Company is popular for a reason and a lot of that has to do with the fact that M10s are a lot more efficient despite their lower Pen because they don't get 3 shotted left and right like Jacksons do due to their having a higher health pool despite being cheaper. It's not like it's a straight buff either - they are going to be more expensive too - almost Firefly expensive. Meanwhile Jacksons won't have nearly that same Alpha Strike damage as Tulips give the Brits. Meanwhile Axis TDs will still have a much faster reload and can outshoot Jacksons. In: COH2 Gameplay

I'd consider using the AVRE as a Command Vehicle because the nerfs don't affect it's Petard Mortar recharge at all. Chuchills in general make excellent command vehicles because you're mostly using them as support vehicles/meat shields so the nerfs don't mean much and they are durable enough to hang around the front line for maximum aura use. Fireflies are the worst choice because they already have a really long reload and it'd make it's main gun useless. On the flip side, Fireflies probably benefit the most from Command Vehicles because the aura makes them fire a lot faster! Otherwise AEC is probably your best bet with the obvious downside of being the most fragile unit (just have them hang around in the rear lines). AEC is also nice because it has Target Tread which you can pop if they try to dive after your Command Vehicle. In: UKF Strategies
