Thread: Soviet late game options/tips? (1v1)16 Mar 2016, 15:46 PM I usually construct my late-game around how the early-mid game goes. Personally I'm a fan of 85s and if I apply enough early pressure/fuel harassment I'll tech straight for T4 and hopefully get an 85 around the same time as PZ4 if all goes well. Another option to consider is going for Quad M5 as your shock unit - that way you save 40 fuel for your faster late game armor. Otherwise KV8 supported by multiple SU76s for AT isn't a bad way to go. If the game drags on you eventually call out IS2 for a very balanced AI/AT army. IS2 makes for a wonderful meat shield that can dish out punishment as well. Sadly I haven't had much success with solely using stock T4 units in late game (but I do like SU-85s on more open maps where the self spotting can be pretty nasty). That and of course you'll want Katushyas against any turtle. In: Red Army Strategies
Thread: 1v1 / 2v2 - Anyone using Churchills?15 Mar 2016, 14:53 PM If I go Anvil its usually for other reasons than Churchills - usually because I ended up with several Sappers and its more efficient to double down with Heavy Engineers OR I ended up emplacement heavy and need the faster repairs. Usually at that point I have a Firefly and I'll just get a Church to screen everything. I never think "Okay Cromwell, Anvil, and THEN the coup de grace Churchill!" Churchill is almost always a reactionary buy that I use to supplement what I have. (Even then I probably go Comet 90% of the time lol) In: COH2 Balance

Anybody who has played Brits know they have their disadvantages... stuff like lacking a vehicle snare, lacking reliable hand-held AT that can hit anything faster than a heavy tank, lacking mobile indirect fire, the list goes on... Try playing as UKF before creating a nerf thread: you'll get a rude awakening after the first time you lose because your expensive emplacement got rekt while Brace was on cooldown or you go Bofors and then have a Luches or 222 swarm haunt you over the rest of the map because the rest of you non-AEC light vehicle counters suck. I also like the new matchmatching and overall balance feels pretty good since the vet fix. People give Relic a lot of crap but they do a lot of good things that get taken for granted. Thread: Automatch waiting time10 Mar 2016, 19:39 PM It hasn't bother me much as most of my games seem to be more balanced and enjoyable. If its a slow night I just watch Netflix or whatever and pause it once I join a match. Not sure how matchmaking works but it would make sense that if Relic could either 1. Increase the "acceptable rank range" after a certain time has passed 2. Give us an option to toggle the "better ELO match" on/off. In: COH2 Gameplay
