Its suppression performance is uneven and unreliable while its garrison effectiveness especially after vet 1 is pretty much unmatched and giving UKF a giant advantage in maps with buildings overlooking critical areas. It should be more reliable at suppressing and less "I'm garrisoned now, GG". +1 ... Vet 1 Vickers in Train Station on Ettlebruck with a Mortar Pit behind it = fun times lol But in its current form you have to use it as Spin suggested - pretty much as a tool to slow down blobs and let your nearby infantry mop them up otherwise an ungarrisoned/unsupported Vickers is indeed hopeless. Thread: osttruppen in 1v122 Mar 2016, 15:06 PM Any time I see Ostruppen in loadout I usually make a point to rush for all key buildings to preempt any garrison camping. This usually helps you to weather the initial storm where this strategy really helps the OST player. CQC Infantry really do a number on Ostruppen - PPSH Cons, Rangers/Paras, Shocks, Commandos, Etc. all melt Ostruppen and early BARs as USF helps a lot too. Once you get past the early game and start getting upgrades and Vet you'll start outclassing the Ostruppen and overwhelm them. I think the key is to not get bogged down early on in Wild Wild West building shootouts or in engagements where the MP trade-off doesn't favor you. I'll admit that I have a lot of problems if they get a half-track and use it as an Ostruppen factory... shit gets hard then. -.- In: COH2 Gameplay

At most you'll only get a few models but that's fair if you going to be spending 30-45 Muni. I don't think this would be that bad for dodging grenades - its not like HMGs get obliterated right now if they get caught while trying to exit and theoretically you'd only have half your squad in the building as opposed to an entire HMG crew. Thread: My opinion re war spoils changes21 Mar 2016, 18:40 PM I believe Relic's "official" stance was that bulletins were never supposed to stack (though why they designed a system where duplicates would drop is beyond me). I'm kind of torn, on one hand stacking is nice because it lets you focus on one element of your strategy like decreasing build times. On the other hand some stacking is borderline abusive/OP (3X Rifleman Vet, PZ4/Panther Armor, Etc.) It's incredibly hard to say you can stack certain bulletins but not others so in a way its easier to just eliminate stacking altogether. In the end its mostly a wash because even stacked most bulletins give you a minimal benefit. In: Lobby

Thread: Elite troops, Soviet industry, vet riflemen.21 Mar 2016, 17:15 PM I like the Soviet Industry idea - if anything because the fuel drop is pointless versus OKW. It might be cool if they changed Soviet Industry into a HQ toggle where you could trade MP gain rate for Fuel rate. (Maybe/Probably OP depending on the ratio). Should be mid-game ability so there aren't cheese M5/T70 rushes. Troop Training and Vet Rifleman might be okay if they were passive abilities that came at late early- middle game that let you build units with some Vet but they cost more and/or take longer to build (you know, extra training time). Would give you the option to replace losses with semi-Vets at a cost. Key is that it can't be too early or else it disrupts pacing. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Stuka bomb in base 21 Mar 2016, 15:20 PM It would be less obnoxious if they reduced the AOE a bit - right now its pretty damn cost-effective given the 160 munitions price tag. Aladin makes makes an excellent point about AT Guns - its almost impossible to dodge with them. Same with USF Ambulance to a lesser degree with the precious seconds it takes you to take it off heal mode and its shitty acceleration. I'm on the fence about it being OP in base - more often that not its pretty telegraphed with them having obvious LOS of your base with either a diving tank or Recon planes. Other than that "mass retreat" nukes require a certain level of timing and skill and I don't have a problem with rewarding players who pull those off. In: COH2 Balance
