That said, a pop free base locked Ost healing bunker clone would be acceptable as an easy alternative but just so you know, if you don't build counters they will still dive your base regardless of how you set up your healing
There's still plenty of other ways an ambulance can die that it's a fair change nontheless. Way more vulnerable to basebombing from howies or rocket arty
Medic models can be killed too but they respawn for free
It's slow as fuck and super fragile. 99.9% of the time, taking it out of your base is not worth the risk so it's "mobility" is barely worth a damn already. Needs to be stationary to reinforce, and can only do so in friendly territory |

Yes, it is the best ability in the game when used against Elefants at a 23.47 degree from the primary axis of the Elefant. Against any other armor or when used at any other angle then you would want a different ability. It is incredible when used in cheat mode against Elefants with a protractor. /sarcasm

I'm still surprised by the lethality of Close the Pocket, I'm not sure why axis still have crazy call in abilities left. The OKW one is really lethal too... meanwhile P47 got nerffed and the Brits Artillery Cover (which was OP as fuck).
The only saving grace is stopping Close the Pocket is easy, and doing it is difficult.
Even still, that doesn't stop it from being a bad idea. The Commander is designed around setting up an ability that does most of the work for you

In-base healing isn't something that everyone else has to worry about "counterplay" for, meanwhile they all have stock on-the-field healing options as well (except Soviets) |
You saw video about comparsion ptab and OST frag bombs?
Yes I saw that video that showed someone using the ability once. I did multiple tests where the ptab did over 900 damage to an elefant
The plane speed should be standardized. I have said this before as well.
The abilities are different though. Ptab covers a much larger area than frag bomb. You can't standardize one aspect of the abilities when they aren't the same to begin with

2. Ninja nerf of AT-bombing. It even couldn't kill 1 stug, while cost onle 20 ammo less than bombing run (that could kill entire tiger), while in old-times it was really powerfull ability.
Still very powerful against heavies, or multiple mediums clustered/bumping into one another
The il2 bombing run power is great because of its precision, but that also means its easier to dodge. The ptab is just way more spread out
