Agreed it's deadly. 75mm HT: Americans needed a mid game artillery badly. Looks good. Crusader, Matilda, PzIII: very decent vehicles that match very good with the time period. Hopefully, to keep historical context intact, we won't see many heavy cats on NA. Semovente: Historically very well made vehicle, I cannot fathom how it will be used in game. Thread: Heavy balance19 Sep 2022, 11:44 AM Imho the problem with heavy tanks boil down to not every faction having the same abilities as the other one. Let's see one simple example: Panzer Commander OKW Tiger (I am not even getting started on kongigstgiger with pzcommander it's way out of everyone's league) against say a Pershing or a KV2. Clearly there's no need to talk about "Heavy v Heavy" battle as their case is concerned simply because the extra sight for OKW Tiger makes every battle uneven. Throw in a free atg remover for 80 muni and it's unstoppable. OR make the case with KV2 vs Elefant. Sure elefant wins in most high range battles but it's a casemate and cannot move the turret whilst KV2 can have full rotation. Same with Pershing. Bottom line as I see it: Not every heavy has the same specs and as such cannot be """balanced""". In: COH2 Balance

Generally speaking if you're having trouble with Quad Mounts or USF AA halftrack then you're going to want at least 1 222. (1V1 in general often comes down to light vehicle pressure). A single 222 won't straight up win against either vehicle but it does a lot to keep them honest using it since you can damage it and force repairs (or if you're doing well finish it off after a snare or 1 ATG hit.) The extra mobility of the 222 also keeps them from just avoiding your single PAK gun. Obviously prepare for the the possible Stuart/AEC/T70 follow-up but the 222 is all about stabilizing your early-mid game and not letting the Quad pressure snowball against you too badly. Double 222 is an option if you want to go for the kill (easier if they don't have many snares or if you are sneaky and hold the first 222 back for max shock value) Correct. In 1v1 terms a 222 somewhat offsets the purely defensive position Wehrmacht has in the opening by allowing some pressure to be put against enemy. In: Ostheer Strategies
