The job posting was closed for a balancer. Lets see which Lamb they bring to coh2.org for a sacrifice.
I wonder if this new balancer plays the game or if he knows what kind of shit storm he is about to get into. |
If an army won every game within 5 minutes because of "early game advantage" than we wouldn't have COH2 or a game. The developers made this game so the other army can respond to these "powerful" units.
Your Axis logic is out of control m8. |
I never understood what the fun of larger teamgames is.
I always enjoyed the smaller skirmishes the most, nothing beats the tension a good 1v1 or 2v2 can provide, with things escalating. Tech choices have more meaning, in 3v3 / 4v4 youre usually rushing to your heaviest armor ( as its pretty easy ) and camp from there on. Ofcourse larger teamgames will be axis favoured. Because its easier to stall and tech.
Honestly, go play 1v1 if you want the most balanced and skill based option there possible. Go play 2v2 if you enjoy playing with someone else while maintaining reasonable balance.
And above all, dont take losing too seriously. I did for some while and it did kill the fun i had with this game.
Oh, and relic, its time for a patch. Like seriously. A big chunky one. Announce something ffs.
3 v 3+ games portrays the feeling of large scale epic battles like Kursk. Large tank battles with your friends over voice makes it epic and fun. |
pershings are cool, but i don't get one of those
+20000
Relic needs to get rid of this bull shit Flak gun. I mean come on, does everything needs to be UBER with OKW? I can't even call in fuel drops with Lend Lease Commander bc of these damn things. |
Dont touch my Penals! |
No need to defend this bs, we all know COH2 players prefer Axis and will always pick Axis. As someone mentioned above, the WWII franchise will always have German fan boys because they have "cool" and powerful army.
At the same time, Allies require more coordination and micro to play the game. The beginner will have the hardest time using USF/Sov than blobing VGs with shreks. I stopped playing randoms Allies bc of WFA, before it was more fun and somewhat balanced.
If anyone wants to play Allies than he/she should just play with a arranged team. simple. guarantees win most times. fun to wreck Axis n00bs and talk shit. |
I was thinking the opposite. In real life if a squad commander knew his unit was being targeted by mortar/artillery fire, he'd order them to "maintain intervals", and not bunch up. You don't have to make this a dumb/lazy on/off switch, but rather a RMB hold and drag to increase separation and direction/facing.
This would actually increase the amount of micro one would need AND add a tactical option to respond to artillery, that should definitely be within the scope of a company-level command game like CoH.
Reminds me of Total War with spread formation, I like this idea. |
As Ost, you will have difficult time as mortars will take their time to destroy the FHQ. My suggestion is for you to cap the rest of the map and not get yourself bogged down by ONE building. Remember, Sov player is sacrificing fuel for this, so keep capping and tech for a P4. |
Another tip for .50 Cal, I would keep it in a building or green cover at all times. The MG is TERRIBLE in open areas due to easy 1 shot rifle grenades since its a 4 man squad. In buildings, I got my man power worth due to its fast suppression and damage. |
Would just help with blobbing your units forward with one click without incurring the intended penalty of having your units be more vulnerable to AOE. Would be hard to code to act naturally whenever there is not enough space to fit the squads through in the "formation".
I wouldn't want to see this.
I agree with Cruzz, this will for sure buff the blob plague and make indirect fire useless (ea. Mortars). |
