The JlI solo a double bren tommies when both units are out of cover. Considering the difference in investment between the two units, it's a pretty big advantages to the OKW. Jäger are a doctrinal Elite Infantry unit with the main-task of fighting infantry. Further OKW has two levels of vet more which is a bit better but also harder to achieve than vet3 for the Allies. In other words: While the loss of both squads is hard, losing a vet5 squad is a bigger loss as it is harder to achieve. Last but not least those Jäger barely manage to defeat the Tommies. Looks fine to me. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Why 2 germans?7 Mar 2016, 14:29 PM The multiplayer is obviously set around 1943/44 (Ostheer, Soviets) to 1944/45 (UKF, Amis, OKW). By that time there are no significant Axis Powers left but Germany and Japan. The latter is on the other side of the globe and defending islands. Hardly suitable for this game. The Italians, or rather the northern part have been turned into a mere puppet state like the Romanians and Hungary. The Finnish actually mind their own business and aren´t an Axis power but a co-belligerent. And they all use lighter equipment or have gotten the somewhat heavier stuff from the Germans (109s, StuGs, Panzerfaust). It´s not advisable to design a whole faction based on this. So I think this pretty much explains why there´s two German factions. In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: Relic, OKW Needs the resource penalty back!5 Mar 2016, 13:19 PM Not reading through all of this. It might have already been mentioned: The resource penalty was there to balance the Vet5. Currently OKW has about 3,5 or 4 levels of vet effectively as the respective level is a bit weaker than that of other factions. So they can gain more vet but also rather slowly and they can´t build caches. I think it balances out this way. In: COH2 Balance
