I'd still rather have some upgrades that aren't related to doctrines.
Soviets are way too much reliant on indirect combat and gimmicks because someone thought it will be great idea to make base infantry that doesn't scale past 8th minute of the game and is impotent in combat against literally any other squad at that time.
Are actually saying Cons are useless after 8min mark?

Lol I used the Pack Howitzer yesterday on Ettlebruck, 30 kills, vet 3. With it's vet bonus, from the center of the map, it can barrage the enemy base.
How did you manage that sir? Katitof swears the pack howie cant hit a mammoth because of its enormous scatter values???

Actually, you're completely wrong(surprise surprise here).
ISG is most effective at shooting ANY squad size or spread, because it suppresses them. It also have longer range in general, meaning when both shoot target at 60 range, ISG is even more accurate.
Pack howis larger AoE means not much when it rarely hits anything because of much higher scatter values, it might wipe now and then, but its rarity(IS-2 vs Tiger AI anyone?).
Neither of them really wipes anything, but it takes a single model hit from both to win an engagement due to suppression and ISG is much more likely to score a hit, therefore its superior support unit.

It should be decappable, simply retarded that it had not been changed to this.
Its issue is that is cannot be countered for 10mins, the first 10mins, which are crucial. By the time you do get to counter it all map control and most importantly VP control has been lost. Make it decapable and only useable in friendly territory and the problem is solved, it wont be OP or UP. 2v2 perspective. |
