Thread: How to deal with PTRS4 Jul 2015, 11:22 AM I don't think anti everything PTRS guns are in line with basic coh2 mechanics. Guards do damage like obers against infantry but still can fight off vehicles that you usually use to counter AI elite infantry. I remember panzergrens lost the ability to get only one Schreck, because they became anti everything units. Sure the PTRS is not as strong as a Schreck but it's still enough to destroy medium vehicles or force them to drive back for repairs. Right now guards are anti everything - a situation that encourages spam and decreases combined arms. @Op I don't think you can fight guards cost effectively infantry wise, either lure them into a HMG or use snipers as ostheer. Ostwind is the only vehicle that somewhat can do enough damage to them before it has to go back for repairs. As okw infantry wise dual obers seem OK, but cost ineffective when focusing single squads. Use a Jäger light infantry in between your Ober squads for additional crits and to snipe single models. In: COH2 Gameplay

If so it looks ridiculous. Also I might be in the minority here but I liked the number of windows determining how much effective dps a squad could produce inside of it. It made building choice a tactical decision and rewarded maneuvering around to the side of an occupied building with the fewest windows when trying to kill the squad inside. Toss some snipers in early if you play against really good opponents. Yeah, I also don't get where everybody got the "perfect" balance shit before WFA from. Every game was basically ISU vs Elefant, because 100 range units existed. It was one of the most boring patch cycles ever. In addition to that we had pak40 buffed so it became the super fast firing monster it once was. Relic now only releases one faction and uses more time to balance this faction, so please get of this "balance will be shit" crap. In: Lobby

Thread: Ostheer HMG too strong now2 Jul 2015, 22:44 PM I play a lot of 2vs2 and have always CELO running. I noticed that many soviet players had high ranks exclusively for soviets and much lower ranks for all other factions, while having the same amount of games. Their commander loadout looked like this: Guard Motor / Shock Rifle / Counter tactics These commanders have been nerfed in the last patches, so from that you can easily conclude that a lot of soviet players inflated ranks, just like OKW players did in the past. Winning rates always change a lot 1-2 weeks after patch because people need to adapt & get used to new strategies. In: COH2 Balance
