If bolster is getting delayed, are we going to give tommies a 50% dodge chance against snipers?

Because that's explicitly why bolster was made available as an early game option for brits.


So Ost sniper is such a threat, sections not only needed a cheap 28 reinforce cost but also super early bolster?

A bunch of good ideas here. I think limiting double brens/piats to 4 man tommies/sappers respectively seems like good idea.

Bolster is too much of a no-brainer. I like the individual upgrade idea that takes a weapon slot. But maybe make it cost something like 50mp and 5 fuel? Just to avoid sinking like 150+ muni into one squad if you want one bren+medic/pyrotechnics

As for timing you could combine Lago+derbyhat ideas. Lock the solo upgrade behind aec/bofors

Why bother? Either Bolster + Bren or 2x Bren will win the meta anyway. Imo:

- Limit the Bren gun to 1. Buff the Bren gun to LMG42 level. Increase its cost to 60 munitions. UKF gets better bang-for-buck, while Tommy squad scaling gets slightly toned down.
- Let Bolster require tech as said before.
- Buff the aimtime of the UKF sniper to Sov/Ost level as said before.

And off-topic:
- Give UKF nade a minimum range and make it cost 30 munitions like other nades.
- (Gib stock mortar pleash. :()

Maybe bolster could function like this:

The infantry sections medic and artillery abilities are locked behind bolster.

When bolster is unlocked the tommies can be upgraded to have a artillery officer or field medic in their squad, these two units have lower DPS than regular tommies but provide utility.

I love the idea of Bolster being on a per-squad basis, taking a weapon slot because new man comes with a scoped rifle. Definitely a lot more dynamic than it is now.
