Lol, you clearly never used Cons before because OP Penals and IS2 you used it idiotically. OK I get the message you guys want to buff Cons to OP levels again. Screw brits, screw USF let's all hop on the OPAF Sov train.


Can you show some repleys how need use cons right vs decent players in all game modes ? or show you player card ? Coz all you talk are tales.

I'm just gonna add that the only difference here is that 6man squads get's suppressed faster than 5/4models squads even from the same MG suppression source.

Suppression and Pinning

Rifleman Squad:

Suppressed Threshold: 0.2
Suppressed Recovery: 0.15
Pinned Threshold: 0.6
Pinned Recovery:0.5

Conscript Squad:

Suppressed Threshold: 0.2
Suppressed Recovery: 0.15
Pinned Threshold: 0.6
Pinned Recovery:0.5

Volksgrenadier:

Suppressed Threshold: 0.2
Suppressed Recovery: 0.15
Pinned Threshold: 0.6
Pinned Recovery:0.5

Almost no infantry is different in terms of thresholds. Even Obers are the same as standard infantry in terms of their suppressed modifiers. Note, range also heavily affects suppression, the deeper you go into an MGs arc, the more suppression and DPS you will take.

If DShka were to be changed, I think maybe just suppression could be toned down so it's not a 1-2 burst pin or it just deals worse vs units in cover so you can actually take shelter vs its very high modifiers.


Question is. What if conscript receive more suppression because they are 6 men squad.

All soviet squads should be getting supressed quicker because of the change to supression a little back

Huh that's interesting. So does a squad with less models get suppresses slower? Also, does veterancy on either unit (mg or infantry squad being suppressed) affect the time it takes to suppress? Because when mgs (his or mine) get wiped, they seem to suppress veteran infantry slower and when vet0 infantry go up against the same mgs they seem to still get suppressed fine.

The Dushka is pretty insane at the moment but I honestly feel it's the only unit other than Guards that Soviets can use to counter OKW in the late game. OKW veterancy is just so powerful that you can no longer play around Conscripts. Especially now that the Maxim isn't god tier anymore. I think the Maxim is in a decent spot as a suppression platform to help your infantry but Conscripts are just so weak in the late game and it's too expensive to go Penals and Maxims. If they nerf the Dushka something needs to be done to make Conscripts relevant. I don't think Conscripts have poor vet bonuses, they just don't have any non-doctrinal weapon upgrades, and all of those commanders are weak in the late game. Soviets already struggle immensely against OKW if you don't have an IS2, 85's, or Mark Target to burst down heavier tanks. This is semi-unrelated but the IS2 is better than the Tiger but certainly can't wipe infantry squads like the KT.

I only know part of the mechanic and the results. Specially since there were tweaks on how suppression works. TBH i would had to reroll the tests.

Accuracy affects AoE suppression but not direct suppression generated per bullet.

Fixed a bug where firing at non-infantry targets would suppress nearby infantry. Now suppression platforms will only deal AoE suppression if the primary target is an infantry model.


IF i'm shooting at a conscripts squad behind a sandbag, does the scatter hit on the sandbag generate AoE suppression? This is what i'm not sure atm.

About the model count, there's a value called incremental accuracy which works with +2/+3 models. If you want to test it, load cheatcommands, make a squad invulnerable and put a conscript squad behind a sandbag and then do the same test vs Rifles/IS.

DSHK lacks a weapon_suppression multiplier of 0 while pinned, which makes it suppress while pinned
