Could you add the following to the list:

Different sandbags (volks/riflemen/tommies/pioneers/conscripts/etc) have different hotkeys to access them. I don't know which key to move them to would make them the most consistent (e.g., G)


same for all buildings/emplacements/etc by pioneers..

I have this question aswell. I thought it couldn't be changed in tuning packs.

It's going to be hard to convince the guys porting the mod to change that part. Porting the mod will require some focus, and we want this to be as no-brainer as possible.

Given that you guys are the curators of this thread, which way would you prefer?
- Keep old-style icons, so that the bars are consistent
- Keep new-style icons, which are better suited, but risk being inconsistent for 1 patch?

About which new and old style icons we are talking about? :unsure:
BTW all icons in this thread or in thread with recovered icons for Estern faction i am collecting for next patch, because as you said previously:
We've talked to Relic.

Unfortunately we won't be adding any icons during this patch cycle. There's a crapload of changes that Relic needs to implement for the bugfixes etc, and they don't want to make the process any more complicated than it already is.

However, this doesn't mean we won't be adding this in the next patch version. Thus, if you keep all of this together, it will be easier for us to locate the icons.

So, it can be moved to the next patch, because:
1. It is only two icons (iirc Artillery officer and KV-8)
2. For KV-8 we have better icon from Capiqua and SneakEye

IOW WBP version of KV-8 icon is outdated and should be changed one more time :p

Edit: I think preview texts and images would be modified in the AE's "commander_ability" category. That one is disabled for us, but it should be very easy for a developer to change two icons.

Right, all other changes were with shield symbolds and unit portraits. Full list of UI changes from 1.3 (it is the only version of WBP, which adding new icons):

Updated abandoned M1 81mm Portrait
Updated M1 81mm squad portraits for their respective factions.
Updated 120mm Mortar Shield Symbol to a different variant
Updated KV-8 call-in icon to match other call-in icons.
Updated M1 81mm Smoke Radius UI. UI will now get smaller at shorter distances.
Updated artillery officer call-in icon to match other call-in icons.
DShka shield icon updated to the correct version for non-EFA armies.

Another one so I don't forget.

Certain units (e.g., AT guns) need hold fire.

- Either make a tri-state (hold fire/prioritise vehicles/fire-at will) toggle ability.

Or:

- Simply add a hold fire ability to the side
- Turn the overhead prioritise vehicle icon into the Brace-emplacements lock (this will free up overhead icon space)

- Abandoned vehicles should retain their previous state (so that you don't have to constantly reactivate hold-fire for USF vehicles)

Finally, for handbrake:
- Substitute overhead "ban" icon with shield-decorator brace lock

For the hold-fire to be added we need to find (or make) a hotkey that no tank/AT gun uses for another ability.

PS: The only squad shield decorator in the game is the brace lock
