Finally Relic admits his game was broken and is doing some serious change, too bad it happens 2 years after the release. Well, better later than never.
But it's a bit weird, since you except only minors change for the final balance at this time, but now it's like a restart from scratch, huge changes, so I guess we can expect more patch for balance coming...

I know, right? You dont always need panzerfaust in the first minutes
But back on topic, Soviet tech overhaul really opens new strategies. Before going to tier 3 meant no tank destroyer, and tier 4 meant no medium or light tank. Doctrines without call ins will be now much more viable.

You only need those if the enemy gets scout cars, and that costs the opponent 160mp to unlock in the first place.
With the added 80mp to the Ost starting manpower, and with the delayed need for T1 (another 80mp), the Ost can get a really good start with Prostruppen and MG42s.

Like the changes, also the call-in mediums will require build time now so heads up to anyone waiting for that last fuel point to just magically spawn to T34/85s

OKW got P4; but who'd go for P4 when you'll be facing T-34-85/E8s spam as soon as T4 is up? Obers are still overpriced and arty gonna rekt OKW base sector....byebye trucks.

the stuart (t70 and su76) will arrive earlier due to the tech change. I'm not really keen on having to fight the light tanks with nothing but panzergrenadiers, grenadiers, and pak.
I'd like to see the 222 gain a new model and come stock with the Autocannon in exchange for a cost increase. It won't be on the same level as the T-70, but it won't be completely outclassed.

Honestly for OKW I think maxim spam is going to be a serious problem on some maps because of lack of flanking routes and the fact your indirect fire is locked behind a very large fuel cost. The new cheaper LeiG will be nice tho.
Flak Trak to counter maxim spam ain't going to work when the same tier building it comes from gives you an AT gun. But it isn't impossible.
It's funny to read that. Imagine USF, with a MG42 arc.

Nope, it's just going back to the days of Beta where you now unlock units from the structure when you have the commander locked in, though this time nothing gets replaced.
Besides, 34-76s are now dirt cheap in fuel. At least that allows a cheap meatshield to be in front of all those early SU-76s and SU-85s that will accompany it into battle thanks to the fuel being avaiable to purchase it supporting units.

So nothing was done to help USF indirect other then making the pack howi no longer completely overpriced. USF will still struggle vs the MG42 especially with them being in T0.
