Hi players, the Jagdpanzer 4 is an amazing vehicle. It seems that this tank is being noticed more these past couple months. However, i still think that the Jagdpanzer 4 is being underutilized or left as an afterthought by some players. It has:
1. Very good armor. It can bounce ISU shots and other anti-tank rounds
2. Extremely potent vet bonuses.
3. Pretty decent cost, especially for a faction that floats manpower.
4. Comes out fast (if you don't build any other vehicle)
Like many other tank destroyers, the Jagdpanzer 4 requires support in order to be effective. Nevertheless, it remains an extremely potent weapon. I like to call it "Jagdtiger Junior" because it performs almost as well. I would dare say, that the Jagdpanzer 4 is OP with high vet, but that is another topic.

Unless you are dealing with scotts spam the panther performs better in every Circumstance, it still remains a good solution if you lost your t3, but you definitely shouldn't just get the jp4, unless you are planning on doing a t1+t2 strat with call in infantry and possibly a light vehicle (I like to do that with the LJI one).
No, just not, an ISU rapes the jp4 and just today I destroyed a jp4 with a jackson easily, granted he used it badly but I've never ever seen a jackson not penetrate a jp4 since the last patch.

I think JP4 is in a good spot right now, in my experience ever since jackson buff JP4 can still beat jacksons in a 1 on 1. Unless there are multiple jacksons the jp4 will handle it quite decently. Ofcourse if anyone bothers to make more than 1 JP4 then multiple jacksons will dominate without support or more jp4s.

Both JP4 and SU85 are amazing. I actually rarely find the fuel to build a panther as okw nowadays.
And i was surprised by the SU85's performance in the last games i had, a positive surprise in fact.

I use it all time now. Its mobility is an issue, but the Puma comes on the wrong tier to make me use it more often and Panther is too late, too expensive for me.

Vet2 on the JP IV (+10% armour, +25% HP, +35% sight range) is the best vet bonus in the game imo.

JP4 is actually quite OP, partnered with a Command Panther they are almost unstoppable.

i prefer the JPiV if i open with mech reg, seeing as the clock ticks mid-game, i'll really start to feel the mp bleed without healing and building a schewer + panther is too expensive at that point, i may as well bridge into KT, or get 2 JPiV's

It's map dependent, some smaller maps with lots of shot blockers and flanking points make using it an absolute nightmare.
It's attributes are exaggerated, IIRC it's got less penetration and a lower ROF than the SU-85 and penning it frontally with the Jackson is much easier than it used to be.

I learned to love the JP4. I tend to play Med HQ these days and until I really tried it, I thought the JP4 was bad. A single one is bad to be honest, but with Shreckvolks that prevent the enemy from flankin, it is great.
The only issue it has is that rubbish pathing for turretless tanks.

Map dependent as said earlier but great for pushing back big tanks. It's great and you can get out it out quite fast.
Pathing is of course the issue. How many times have I started to sweat trying to get JP4 out of the action and the tank starts to do some crazy circles.

JP4 (with vet) is OP. Seen some games where a JP4 was vet 5 and while in stealth and first shot it does to most of the tanks 50% of his healthbar. As you see, the point is that it has to become vetted to do some serious damage.

Try building more than one JgdPz in a game, I dare you. If you succeed, count the number of su-85s built in the meanwhile. Your bias will decrease by a mile.
