In my opinion the only thing the MG42 needs is a traverse rate increase and the global removal of the ability to throw (rifle)grenades when suppressed. Would also make other machine guns more useful in the process.

OP ignore the allied whinegirl fest here. The mg42 is over the top take the current mg42 and look at the vet 2 of the current mg42. at vet the mg42 is balanced and actually a solid unit. remember vet 2 is 20% suppresion and traverse.

Tested the 221. and guess what its actually useful. good job.

-Did you at least increase the cost +130mp +5f for the 221? (to match the cost of the M20)




Have you forgotten that the m20 has mines smoke a free zook and if i remember correctly better penetration on its gun?

You're such an idiot after years of training or its a natural gift?

OP posted wrong list that could replace HMG with terminator squad and 222 with light tank, then he edited it and mentioned his mistake and took out changes that would make you and sierra wet.

This is why you actually READ the WHOLE thread before making a comment, otherwise you make yourself look like total moron.

Someone didn't read the original post (which was later edited). It also had 80 more hp and something else.

Anyway the list he posted now is WAY MORE REASONABLE that what he original posted.

Oh i approved that 221 as well it only needed a fuel slightly higher fuel and mp increase . The point im trying to make is that a unit should be looked on the whole not just armour and dps.

Blech, this is all my fault for bungling the original post. I uploaded it and posted it and then went to bed. Might've been wiser to double check it before going right to bed.

BUT, I did revert most of the changes on the HMG42s due to the lashback in this thread.

I don't think the 222 ever had 320 health in a public build, it was what my initial plan was when writing the description when creating the mod, so whichever version Jaigen was using the Armored Car had 240 health.

Well the Beta 222 could kill a T34 if it had VET 2 for the armor bonus, but that 222 did almost no damage to infantry when you upgraded the gun

If you could circle the T-34 and avoid the turret rotating on you (smoke was good for this!), then yes, you could kill a T-34, but it required good micro. The MG34 getting disabled with the cannon upgrade was a later bug, they both worked simultaneously in the alpha.

The alpha 222 was much more like the PE 222. Something in between how it is now and how it was in the alpha would be great.

Not T34s, but 222 vet2 used to be a reliable support way to deal with the T70.

At one point the Elefant was part of T4, which made is come in later than the current Elefant does ironically.

Ostheer getting the Panzerwerf back in T3 would also help fix some things.

And tiger+ele combo from same player was the most balanced thing ever.

They changed it because there were no WFA factions and Ostheers teching wasn't as expensive as it is now. The Elefant would be impossible to get with the tiger if it was in T4 due to the cost. There is reason you don't see Panther + Tiger.

The reason you don't see tiger+panther is because they somewhat overlap in the role of dealing with tanks while tiger rips infantry a new one in addition to being bit more tanky and bit less mobile-there is only a single allied tank in game where AT difference actually make difference, but Tiger got more DPS which compensates for panther bigger pen.

You don't see tiger+panther, because it doesn't make sense.

if you can call in tigers it's better to get a second tiger instead of spending more to get a V.
