Keep in mind that if grens are made 5 man, they would need to have their DPS lowered by 1/5 as well.
Because right now, if an ostheer squad wants to be equal with a soviet 6 man squad, it as a rule needs to do 50% more DPS due to the higher soviet squad sizes. However, if grens were made 5 man, then they would only need to do 25% more DPS in order to compete.
LMGs and G43s would probaly have to get nerfed as well.

Different, but related. You can't deny Fusilier and Prottruppen don't suffer the high risk getting one shot squad wiped like Grens, vetted or not.

Squad spacing affects every faction, although I do agree 4 men squads are the most vulnerable.
This being said however I do think Grens are fine. Especially that now, after last bug fix patch MG-42 behaves better.
I used to think 5th man is needed but That's not the case anymore.

All Ostheer infantry needs a 5th man, they can keep the same DPS.
Then they all would need a price increase if you can't see the imbalance yourself yet(and I know you can't).
Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

or their price need to be increased to 300. and i would be fine by that as the ost main infantry is a bit to wipy at the moment.
That said grens are highly efficient units

The problem with Grens is 3 things(IMO):
1. Static Weapon Upgrade - the reason I(and some others)prefer the G43 right now, is that it can be fired on the move, the LMG-42 requires the squad to be static and this leads to squad wipes and forces the LMG Gren to slowly turn and then set-up to fire at moving enemy squads(this allows Shocks and Rifles to close in).
2.Ranges - As was said before maps really hurt Grens, so many maps are close quarters and a lot of Allied infantry have Smoke Nades and this hurts the long-range intended use of the LMG42, once again leading to favoring of the G43 in this meta.
3.Squad Wipe Potential - this one is tricky, I can see a fifth man being OP and spacing coding might cause bugs and men stuck on objects(nothing like paying for 4 men and going into battle with 3 men). I think they could do with adjusting splash damage on all explosives or adding so kind of explosive resistance to Grens.

I've noticed that as well.
5 men grens @ 280 MP seems fair to me.
And MG42 is performing fine against USF. The problem is oorahing cons.

no they can not, why would they? It's simply impossible unless you mean 5 or 6 models shooting one gren model and all shots hit. But the chances are like really low, like 1/400 if grens are out of cover, cons not on the move and if cons all aim at one model, which is not very frequent itself.

Really? This is issue in almost every game. I ve watched week ago replay of Paula and HelpingHans (i dont remember) and cons were lietrally sniping one grens model at 50% of engagements.
It's huge issue.

They are similarly priced to volks.
I feel they should perform exactly like them in the early game.
Volks dont get completely overwhelmed like grens do when supported
Grens are well trained troops compared to Volks so no I don't think they should be priced at 235MP. I don't see anything wrong with Grens at the moment but against Rifles I would say they need a buff. Gren are designed for long range combat and even than Rifles have the "slight" edge. Grens need a long range accuracy and damage modifier.

Grens are perfectly fine on the individual basis and is one of the most cost effective infantry in the game i look upon efficiency per man and not per squad and what the squad can do. technically the gren is best performing base infantry in the game with good dps and special abilities as well as good upgrades . but because of their 4 man nature they wipe a bit to fast. i wouldn't mind seeing grens costing 300 mp and becoming a 5 man squad.
