Updates & Bug Fixes

Animation fixes for the US Forces .50 cal machine gun
Localization updates
Remove player level stars on faceplates


Balance Changes

Wehrmacht


Opel Blitz Truck
Cost reduced from 300 to 200
Resource bonuses are now exclusive to the player

Blitzkrieg
Now adds a speed maximum modifier by 1.5
Duration decreased from 20 seconds to 15 seconds


Soviet

M4C Sherman
Population increased from 12 to 14


M3A1 Light Scout Car
Price increase from 10 fuel to 15 fuel
Penetration at near reduced from 1.75 to 1.5
Penetration at mid reduced from 1.5 to 1.3
Acceleration reduced from 2.3 to 2.0
Deceleration reduced from 5.8 to 5.0


KV-1 Heavy Tank
Health increased from 720 to 800
Armor increased from 240 to 270
Rear armor increased from 145 to 165
Reload time reduced from 6.2 - 6.8 to 5.2 - 5.8
Price increased from 370/120 to 420/145
Population increased from 12 to 14


Fear Propaganda Artillery
Price reduced from 100 munitions to 80 munitions


OKW

Kubelwagon:
Now has light crush


sWs Half-Track:
sWs Half-Track health reduced from 400 to 300
sWs Half-Track max speed reduced from 6.2 to 4.2
sWs Half track Armor reduced from 11 to 5
sWs Half track Rear Armor reduced from 5.5 to 4.5
Cannot Crush Infantry


Panzer II:
Weapon Penetration changed from 10/15/20 to 15/20/25


SdkFz251 Flak Halftrack:
Rate of Fire reduced from 4 to 3


Puma:
Smoke screen shells reduced from 3 to 1

OKW Ostwind Call in:
Cost increase from 280/85 to 280/100

Jagdtiger:
Cost increase from 800/250 to 800/290



US Forces

Lieutenant
Cost reduced from 340 to 300

Captain
Cost reduced from 360 to 320

but now Opel gives resources only to a player who owns Opel, so it's fair trade for price reduction

What happened to Blitzkrieg feeling too magical!?! 50% bonus speed is huge! That's practically what it was before! It's fine for OKW's Combat Blitz because that lasts two seconds! What is going on?

Maybe... maybe it's just a mis-print...

The rest is good/whatever.

Actually, Opel Change is long overdue. That is good news.

Nice :relic on the M3A1 scout car. When it doubt; over nerf it and increase the price.

Good fix there too, it was silly how it just looked like the .50 gunner just tossed it on the ground, like "screw this heavy bastard".

as for the opel i think long term it should scale based on player count.

It is interesting to see the M3A1 go up from 5 fuel to 15 fuel over the course of it's radical re-balancing from the March 25th patch.

I think that's exaggerating though. It's a acceleration decrease of 15%. Hard to say how big of a deal that is but I can't imagine it will be that bad.

I've always said this, anything over 2v2 just gets really messy. Particularly because large maps also have more resource points.

Useless? It gave a great bonus to acceleration: 60% bonus. There are situations where if your Tiger/Panzer 4 doesn't go from 0 to 100% speed in a few seconds it will die.

I will agree that it was overpriced for 30 munitions. I actually wanted to see a 10% or 15% bonus to speed. A noticeable bump that one could spell the difference between a flank and a fail. A little boost for a humble 30 munitions.

Time will tell indeed.

Exactly my thoughts.

Apparently magical jet engines did existed at the time.

Also, KV-1 is actually appealing now.

Maybe Blitz should reduce armour or increase damage taken. I know it sounds silly but it would definitely stop the 'defensive blitz' problem, or at least make it much riskier.

It's not silly at all. In an MMO I used to play they had something called Microwarpdrives on the ships. When active the ship took more damage.

Gotta test it out first, but m3 seems overnerfed. I'd really like it if only one or two values were changed at a time. Instead, movement, penetration, and cost all get changed at once. There's nothing wrong with units being strong. Whenever a unit over-performs, instead of making its cost commiserate with it's performance, it just gets nerfed into the dirt instead (see penals).

I like this patch. It addressed some of the most serious balance flaws that's currently in the game, while not under nerfing or over nerfing various units which could lead to those units not being used at all. When this patch arrives, I dare say the balance will be the best that it's ever been.

Don't know if Relic staff are reading this but if so, good work on the WFA expansion and the balance thus far....i'm genuinely impressed.
