I win consistently against any other commander, and I would like to know if it is just because I simply have not adapted correctly.

This is one of the design aspects of "Elite Troops" p2w commander that I absolutely despise. It has no place in automatch or competition.

*fixed your poll answers and reset the votes.

IT would be nice if It only increase 1 vet star per use.

80 mp and 25 fuel for an insta Vet3 squad at minute 1 is crazy.

It's OP when used in mortars and Grens in my oppinion.

I bought that doctrine but I wouldn't mind if they change that ability.

Too expensive. Useless.

My problem with it is that when used the unit dramatically out preforms other units, and when used aggressively the Ostheer player can force engagements (because otherwise all your territory will be disconnected). Granting Vet three instantly also makes hard counters difficult to use. Mortars are good against G43 grens but all of the sudden a vet three mortar pops out and counter barrages them to death allows easy counter play.

Have you ever tried using it early? it cost less than getting molotovs but now you have a vet three unit that easily bends map control in your favor, which after a few minutes pays for itself plus more. Because territory is income, having more map control at the cost of resources is like taking an early expansion in traditional RTS's, it has an up front cost, but it pays for itself plus extra as time goes on.

In my opinion, this ability should be passive, and unlocked at 3 CP's. Passive ability would provide 25% exp boost to only infantry type units, not vehicles

I do think its a bit too powerful on mortars as they do not take a lot of damage and hence do not give away much vet. And they become so powerful at vet 3, early game inf battles become very skewed.

Then getting a vet 2 panzer 4 is also really nasty. Though it was nerfed a little bit by increasing the cool down on training. I guess you do pay a premium for vet2 tank.. But it feels worth it to hands down own whatever is on the field at that point.

I think the problem with the doctrine lies in the fact that its abilities make it extremely potent early game, followed by the Tiger Ace/vet tanks with smoke that is potent late game. Most doctrines are either great early game at the expense of late game, great late game at the expense of early game or mediocre throughout. Elite troops is viable throughout the entire game with the Tiger Ace and vetting tanks.
I think the doctrine itself is the real problem, the troop training itself is alright. Maybe a slight fuel increase to make the fuel setback more noticeable.

Troop training and the whole elite troops commander is everything that CoH 2 shouldn't be.

a) It's DLC

b) It gives the user a significant advantage

Conclusion: pay to win.
