Now that Americans are Coming to CoH2

I'm wondering if they are going to add more to the Soviet faction or the German faction. I mean these factions are still incomplete and Relic haven't made any changes to how they work. Stuff like Soviet Bunkers, German vCoH mines, tank traps for both sides ( without that commander ), the ability for both sides to make sandbags. The usual stuff that were supposed to be in both factions. As I said many times before Relic just refuse to add anything to the factions that isn't in the forms of commanders, and since the factions are incomplete that's a shame.

Now that Relic announce that they are going to release two factions, we know that one faction is going to be American, but what will the other one be? I don't see the sense of making another German faction, when you can have one awesome German faction that has a whole lot of stuff, and how much more can you add to a new German faction anyways? Would it be better if the second faction would be the commonwealth faction? I'm not saying that this commonwealth faction would be exactly the same as CoH:OF, but just adding a commonwealth faction whether it be the same of different.

There is still more eastern front commanders coming out and I'm sure we will see a few more even after the factions come out.

Relic said that they won't add nondoctrinal tank traps, because it promotes camping. Soviets are getting doctrinal bunkers and the ostheer simply aren't supposed to have vCOH style mines.

There will also be westfront maps, so omega_warrior is right :D
I play mostly 1v1 and my post are with 1v1 in mind.

Dont get me wrong , i love the fact that coh2 goes to the western front and i welcome the fact that we ll have more matchups , but i would have liked to see the canadians cause i think it provides more flexibility in theirunit roster veing able to choose from both british and american inventories .
Please relic and sega just take it easy with the dlc ...

It's still a long time before the release, I remember they changed some skins during the original beta as well. I agree though, those riflemen look way too bright.

The uniforms of the riflemen are all wrong, they're not wearing the correct boots too. I think they're just placeholders, I mean they're quite clearly just the Airborne models but without the all the additional gear.

Most riflemen were equipped with M1 Garands. vCOH got this wrong as well. Weapon crews were more likely to have the lighter m1 carbines.

Those "riflemen" were also fighting next to T-34s AND M4s. I wonder if they didn't show video of some sort of 2v2 mixed allies team.

Yup.


Why did you choose that name? The German command in the west was called OB West = Oberbefehlshaber West (Commander in Chief West). There was no such command named "Oberkommando West". Is it because the whole scenario is not really realistic (ie Soviets on the Western Front)? Sorry its really gonna bug me if its released like that :P.
